When I dropped off the truck, the person who checked me in told me to leave the keys and my contract in the truck and that I was all set to go. A little while later, a person called saying that I hadn't returned the truck, which was a little confusing. Some communication between the crew in the parking lot and the crew in the store would have cleared this up without needing to contact me.

Check in was super slow. The need for a second phone number seems to be the issue. I've rented uhaul trucks several times int he last month and never had to have my phone number verified at the desk when picking up the vehicle. Additionally, needing a second phone number does not make any sense. What if I am a solo driver and do not have another number. I just don't understand this requirement and it seems to impact the ability of the staff to check in customers in a timely manner.

I understand, that you charge by the mile and if I want insurance, that is of course extra, BUT!!! When you advertise, that I can rent a van for $19.99 and my final bill is $67,70---- well, that is absolutely not what I expect, and I am rather taken back!!! Besides that, the location is nice--- would be great , if I could leave my car there , while I have the rental, since there is a huge parking lot there!--, the ladies at the counter are lovely and helpful ; the truck/van was clean and well maintained. I am not quite fan of the policy , that the tank is a quarter full only ,when I pick it up and the first thing I have to worry about, is the tank! I would rather have it full and bring it back full!

When I reserved my trailer online, I specified a Brooklyn NY dropoff location near my delivery address which showed to be a location that would accept my trailer. My actual paperwork switched my drop off to a out of state location in New Jersey. I had to call Uhaul and had to wait for 45 minutes (double parked on a New York street!) until I was given a closer drop off point. Very bad.

When I arrived to pick up the truck, I was required to provide an additional phone number of a second person who would confirm my identity in addition to having an enhanced NY driver’s license and credit card as well as a U-Haul account. This is a new requirement, and other rental companies don’t require this. You should advise the customer at the time of reservation of such additional security requirements. When returning the truck, I had to go back into the office and stand in line for 20 minutes just to get a receipt. Other rental companies are able to provide the receipt at the point the vehicle is dropped off. You might want to look into that.

We originally had the uhaul reserved at another location and they did not have our rental for us. After a long phone call with you all we were able to pick up a van here. It was overall a very terrible experience.

One of my worst experiences ever. Each employee gave different information about what I need in order to rent a car. The costs were $100 more than what they have told me ahead of time and it's not clear in the bill why it did cost this much. And on the day of pick up it took forever to get the key and not even an out of state driver's license was okay even though they told me on the phone that it is okay. Never again!

I don’t have a problem with this U-Haul location,but I do have an issue with U-Haul company itself.i made reservations 1 week prior to my moving date for 9am, at one site,then 2 days later U-Haul sent me an email that they moved my time and different location for 1130am.Then the day of my move I went to the location to pick up my truck at 1130 the truck wasn’t available I had to wait another hour for it to come then 2 hours later I get an email from U-Haul stating that the truck is now available at a different location at 2pm.so I had to spend $40 to go to that location to pick up my truck.This is the worst experience I had with U-Haul and I will never again use U-Haul because it messed up my whole day from moving from Brooklyn to jersey.i wouldn’t recommend U-Haul to my worst enemy

I had to wait in line for an hour to pick up the keys to the rental truck. And I was told for the first time at the counter that I would need to provide phone numbers for three additional people, one of which would have to answer the phone. I had to scramble to figure out whose numbers to give. And when I got the keys, I was told someone in the parking lot would assist me with getting into my truck--I stood around for another good 10 minutes trying to find someone to help me with that. Same thing when I came back to return the keys--I was told someone in the parking lot would assist me and stood around for a good 10 minutes trying to find someone to help me.

I'm very impressed with how well they've improved this location. It's clean, spacious, and even has bathrooms. It used to be a nightmare. One Saturday at the beginning of the month, I watched employees and customers act outwardly hostile towards each other. It was messy, the rentals were stuck behind other rentals, the customers were impatient and the stressed employees weren't helpful. They've completely turned it around.
