Check engine light was on when I picked up the truck. The employee helping me said not to worry about it. Then the truck wouldn't start the next morning. We jumped it and it ran for the rest of the day.

The wait time just to be acknowledged that you are at the counter is amazingly long. Whether there was one person behind the counter or two none of them welcomed or commented that they would help us ASAP. Basically ignored us until after 15 min.

They were an hour late opening the store. Was posted as opening at 7am, but it was nearly 8am before anyone arrived to open the location. Did not have the size of trailer that I had reserved. Did give me $50 credit for failure to have the 6' x 12' trailer that I had reserved available.

I made my reservation well in advance and when I went to pick up my truck it was not available so I had to get a smaller truck and now have to make another trip and be out more money because one I was never told until I showed up and two there was nothing in proximity to me to rent. I got a small refund but not enough to cover the trailer I now have to get in order to complete my move. Extremely unhappy with everything. I can’t blame the place Peres but the system and lack of communication

but when the system upgrade crashed the purchasing process it was hell for an hour. The employee used the F word frequently, he was agitated, his tech "manager" wouldn't respond and provide help. I and several customers behind me were stuck, unable to turn in or check out our reserved items. All I had were two dollies to rent and I had a reservation. I waited 1.25 hours for the system to get fixed so I could check out. Had to call the 800 uhaul number and do it over the phone. I had asked for a manual check out but was refused it at first. Finally after an hour, the UHAUL 800 service rep instal-messaged Daniel to do a manual contract with me. Very frustrating.

I was set up to deliver the Truck to a location in Palmdale that I was told would be opened until 7pm. I got to the location at 6pm but the location was closed and the posted hours on the gate was that they close at 5pm. Given this I called you after hour service and on hold for 20 minutes. I then drove to 2 different U-Haul locations in Palmdale and the first stated they couldn't take it since they had no more room on their lot. I got to the 3rd location and they were already closed so I left the truck their. Very, Very Frustrating.

I arrived at the place to drop it off and they said there was no more room to drop it off. I told them this is where I was scheduled to drop it off, they said I would have to go down the road a few miles to drop it off. I told them I couldn't. Finally they relented.

The 17 foot truck I rented has a very bay brake fluid leak on the left rear calaper. I had to add quite a lot of brake fluid to this tuck to use it. It leaked on my cement drive way.

When we got here there was a person standing out front who saw us enter, and as it turns out another person in the back office. Despite two people being there we waited 15 minutes before anyone came to help us. Then the person working was highly confused and did not know what he was doing. He ended up calling the manager for help, who also had no idea what he was doing. It took a very long time and was a frustrating experience, and on top of all of this we were charged an extra $20 for the supposedly free storage included in our move. One of the things I most dislike about uhaul is how many extra costs get added in without the customers knowledge. Will never use uhaul again. It was the worst service I have ever received and I prefer to know how much it will cost BEFORE I buy it, not added sneakily during and after the move. Fuck you all!!!!!!!

There was only ONE employee working on a busy Saturday morning. I waited 40 minutes and there were 6 people waiting behind me. The gas was marked incorrectly and they one guy working was way too busy to help me correct it before I left and I could not wait any longer. When I returned the truck that evening a girl checked me out and said everything looked good. Then when I received my email bill they charged me for additional gas !!! Which was their mistake in the first place. Beware and take a picture with your cell phone so that it is documented. The gas was over 1/8 of a tank wrong !!!!

I think the U-Haul rep was Kevin, he was great. Unfortunately, he was the only employee on a busy Saturday morning. Estimated wait time was 30-40min. It was terrible.He did a great job and tried to be as fast and efficient as he could.
