please clean the windshield on the inside of the cab. On two occasions, we received pickup trucks that had hazy windshields. We had to clean them . Otherwise the pickup was ok. Could use a carwash.

Previous experiences with various U-Haul locations have been bad and I had decided not to use U-Haul again. However I was in a pinch so used U-Haul in Burbank. I was assisted by "Eduardo" who was very professional, informed and FAST. The service I was received was excellent, much to my surprise. In addition, the location was clean, well organized and seemed to be run extremely well, very unlike my other U-Haul experiences in the past. If they were all this way U-Haul's perception and business would be greatly enhanced. Someone important from U-Haul should go to the Burbank location and see how Eduardo and others are operating this location .. and use it as a model for their other operations. I was prepared for the worst but received the best ... seriously, one of the best retail/service experiences (in any category) I've had in a very long time. Well done! Thank you.

The girl who answered the phone and explained I don't need a credit card, just $100 cash deposit for in town services with a 10 foot truck was very friendly and informative. The guy who got my reserved truck was fast and friendly and even got $15 remaining change instead of $14 and change. Truck was clean and everything went smoothly. No other option but U-Haul when you want to move on your own.

The reservation "confirmation" should not include the pickup location (implication being that it too is confirmed) unless it is in fact confirmed. Receiving notification less then 24 hours before pickup that the location has changed is absurd.

I went by the chart given to me when refilling the gas tank, but ended up filling 4 more gallons than were necessary. The chart is not accurate. I ended up spending $10 extra on gas because of this. As for the facility, both people I worked with were very nice.

Backstory: A month ago, I reserved a U-Haul through your online service. I got my PDF with my designated "preferred location" and checked it off my list of "Things I No Longer Have to Stress Over For the Move". It felt good to have it taken care of but when the time came to pick up the U-Haul, nothing went according to plan and I was extremely disappointed with the service I received from booking online. I booked a "preferred" location and no one from U-Haul got into contact with me to tell me my location was actually changed. So I showed up at 8am to the "preferred" pick up location (which was an authorized U-Haul dealer) and found that no one was there and the shop was closed. I called U-Haul's customer service line, and they kindly informed me of the "actual" location of my U-Haul, which was about ten minutes away. The woman on the phone, Terry, assured me that the place was open and had people working there so we drove over there. When we arrived at that location, it was closed with a note on the door saying, "Be back later". I tried calling Terry back, and she didn't pick up. I was placed on hold and had to explain my situation to someone elese when they finally picked up the line. They then informed me that they couldn't help me and I had to talk to someone else in another department. So I was transferred to YET ANOTHER new person I had to explain my story to. Once finished I told the girl on the phone I didn't want to drive to another authorized dealer location and only wanted to pick up our truck from an actual U-Haul location. The closest one was 15 minutes away in Burbank (I was in North Hollywood). The truck rental only comes with 25 miles but with all the extra added mileage I was having to drive (because your team couldn't seem to coordinate with your authorized dealers) I needed to add more mileage. I had to ASK the customer service person to credit the mileage for us, it was not something she offered. As a ten-year veteran of the customer service industry, I can tell you, once I KNOW I’ve messed up on my end as the company I do what I can to surprise and delight my customers with what tools I have available. That didn’t happen, I had to ask for the additional mileage, and I had to ask for a credit off our total (as we now had lost two hours of moving time). After everything was organized on the phone, your customer service representatives promised to credit our account $50, which I have yet to see appear on our card on file. Due to the track record of service, it is really difficult for me to actually believe that discount will get there. If it doesn't, I doubt we will ever use this service again. I really hate moving and in the past I have used and trusted your brand to be there for me when I needed you, I felt extremely let down. BURBANK: The Burbank employees were nice. They checked us in and ushered us to the car as quickly as possible because they could tell we were in a rush after losing time. I apprec

The customer service person that helped me at 11 o'clock on Sunday was very nice but overwhelmed... There were other customers in the store and he was very flustered... I had to wait at least 15 minutes or so ...before I asked him to just help me so I could get my truck since I had a reservation already...
