I stepped inside this business to use the wifi to pick up my truck on the app. The man working called me over to the desk, said something about my birthday so I gave it to him, and he gave me keys to a truck. The truck number on the keys matched the truck ID on my phone, however, the license plate did not match and my phone flagged that. I went back inside, and the same man, who I had a language barrier with, didn’t seem to really understand what I was saying. He told me it was fine and to just say that the plate matched even though they didn’t, so I did. Then, the mileage and gas meters did not match up with what was on the app, so I went back inside to show him. I did not want to be incorrectly charged for mileage, or for my account to be flagged for being in the wrong vehicle. The man got angry almost immediately and spoke to me aggressively in mostly another language. He told me he “did not know anything” and kept trying to get me to look at his computer screen, which I understood none of the information on. I told him I didn’t want to be charged incorrectly and he said “you won’t, this is America” which wasn’t very assuring. He ultimately gave me keys to a different truck and told me to leave. Terrible and confusing experience.

Charles MThe location I was originally set to pick up from didn’t have the keys in the lockbox so I had to go to another location (21 Gardner) to pick up my van. This was a super frustrating situation and I wish U-Haul had a better system set up
