I spent approximately one hour trying to pick up my reserved truck due to a system malfunction or outage. Even though I had signed up for mobile pickup, which is advertised as the quickest and most convenient option, the system was non-operational, forcing me to repeatedly go inside and talk to the clerk. The physical location compounded this issue significantly. The lot is huge, and the distance between the office and the U-Haul truck parking area is at least 500m. I had to drive back and forth three different times because of a combination of errors: first, the truck assigned to me was the wrong size (26' instead of the reserved 20'), and second, the correct 20' truck was not in the designated spot, all while the app/system was down. I witnessed about three other customers experiencing the exact same technical difficulties while I was there. Although the personnel were kind and gentle, the site itself—including the office—felt unwelcoming and unprofessional. Furthermore, there is no clear signage indicating where customers should park their personal vehicles, especially thinking that the whole yard is a Truck parking lot with lots of traffic. The overall experience was severely hampered by operational issues and poor site management.
