I made reservations on line a week ahead of time for a 5' x 8' trailer. After I made the reservations, I received an email stating that my vehicle's ability to pull the trailer couldn't be confirmed. I called Body By Design and the lady I spoke with stated that I would have to go to the Great Mills, MD location to have my vehicle confirmed to be able to pull the trailer. She also stated that the Great Mills location would make a note in the system that my vehicle was confirmed to be able to haul the trailer. I explained to her that I use the vehicle often to pull a 3 horse trailer with horses inside. The lady said I would still have to go to the Great Mills location. I was fine with going. The next day, I went to the Great Mills, MD location and was greeted by a gentleman who was very helpful and walked out to look at my vehicle. He said that all was good. When we walked back into the office, he told me I was good to go. I told him that the lady I spoke with at the Body by Design location said he would have to indicate in "the system" that my vehicle had been checked. Apparently, that wasn't the case, nothing had to be noted in 'the system". On August 27th, I went to Body by Design to pick up the trailer. I went inside and the lady processed the rental. She gave me a copy of the rental agreement and told him the trailer number. No one came out to ensure I took the correct trailer (even though it was the only trailer there) or to help me hook it up to my vehicle correctly. I thought it was a very odd and very poor customer service. Anway, I hooked up the trailer and went on my way. The next day during my travels, I received a call from U-Haul asking what the number of the trailer is that I had. I explained to her that I was just getting back on the road and asked if she could wait for the information until I made another stop. She was fine with waiting. I asked her if everything was okay and she said that she thought the family that came and picked up the trailer they had rented actually took the trailer I was supposed to rent, and left the one they rented. When I called the lady back, she confirmed that the family who picked up the trailer before me, took the one I was supposed to rent. The trailer that I had taken was in very poor condition, especially considering I was traveling from Maryland to North Carolina, then to Pittsburgh, PA. Fortunately, I made it and was greeted by a very nice, helpful lady in Moon Township, PA, who unhooked the trailer and gave me directions on how to exit the property.

Give detailed instructions in advance so people know exactly what to expect at pickup (you’ll need to provide a contact, take pictures of self, license, truck, explain that additional drivers get the link AFTER pickup, etc.
Stacey CI didn’t realize it was a remote rental. We waited about 30 minutes for someone rot show up then called the 800 number and were told. He was a lot of help.
LYNN HMy only issue is with the checkout and returning of the truck. While the process has the potential to be convenient by uploading pictures when the cell phone service in the area is not that good the process wastes a lot of time. It took 10-15 minutes to not only check the truck out but to return it as well due to pictures not uploading in a timely manner. In total 30+ minutes dealing with the process due to poor cell phone service (Verizon). Other than that experience was very good.
DOUGLAS MWhen I pick the truck up Friday it was raining. When we got it to our destination to load we noticed The inside of the truck was leaking up above the overhead area in the box area above the driver so my items were going to get wet and we had to stop packing the truck until Saturday morning and wait for it to dry up altering our loading agenda. My items were being taken to a storage unit in Virginia and they could not get wet and sit for seven months and wet boxes. It would’ve ruined my stuff.
