Making a reservation for a truck was easy and fast. But prices per mile are just not affordable. The amount of miles you use during a move can be more than what you expected, and can cost you so much more than the actual cost of the rental. Because of this I will not use U-Haul often or recommend the service. Not many offers are given at the counter either.

Improvement in customer service, I personally was very displeased in the returning of my equipment, my return time was 5pm to make sure I called that I was on my way I ask what the latest I could be there I was told if I be back at 7 pm I wouldn’t be charged I got there earlier but enter the drop off at 6.19 pm after noticing there was no movement inside,was confused about the situation so I called upon finally some one answered she said an email was sent to me I never got one called again that’s the time I asked for a verification of my email it was incorrect,I don’t know how to do uploads of what you’re company asking for very complicated to me so I was told to drop the key in the drop box and call today I was coughing so bad outside was cold and I had to take the bus home I’m not young and was treated very unjust because I was not told that the location was going to be close and I have to do return my self neither did I get an email the next thin I shouldn’t be charged for someone else negligence

They do really good work. They are centrally located. They Even helped To adjust, to the new “social distancing” norm. I strongly recommend the Cambria heights location for UHAUL. Who wants to spend money at a business, and get attitude from customer service?, the same people that should me you feel very comfortable. I booked my U-Haul van over the phone with a representative. I told her that I needed the van for 8am and informed her that 9am would be too late as I wanted to arrive for 9am for my new apartment. She assured me that wasn’t a problem and I could pick it up for 8am. She made the reservation. I get to Cambria Heights for 8am and she made the incorrect reservation I called and by 8:40am I had spoken to 4 representatives (none of who communicated with each other and having to repeat myself four times). The last person I spoke with a black womanizer with a Caribbean Dialect and she was beyond rude! No on tried to offer a solution and just kept saying “well she made the wrong reservation you need to wait until the store opens” ... beyond pissed off and upset and never using U-Haul again! This company needs to use this time to work on service!

The U-Haul that's on Merrick and 108 Queens New York was not prepared I could not rent equipment from there appointment was there I could not use that I had to go to another U-Haul

The location and or the vehicles are not the issue. It took me 1 1/2 hour in the freezing cold with about 5 different customer Service Reps to get a rental. Getting a Mobile rental in the year 2020 should not be like pulling teeth with pliers. It took a life time for U-Haul system to read or pick up the GPS. The combination lock on the lock box is frozen and or stuck. Not even the strongest man could pry it open. The lever would NEVER move no matter how it's pry and or push. Until your mobile system is updated, I would NEVER recommend any person to use your mobile system. I would tell them your rates are reasonable.
