I am glad I don't need to rent a hauling vehicle very often. My experience renting this UHaul van was a joke. I booked this UHaul rental online at the location closest to me. I received an error message and had to call the UHaul customer service #. I gave her my order # so she could change my pick from self serve to in person. She told me I could pick up until 7, because the location I selected was open until then. I get to the location I selected, and the rep there tells me that I booked at another location. She said they move rentals to another location when a selected location is out of rentals. No one told me this. I didnt receive any email to indicate this change, and the rep on the phone never told me. So, we drive to the 2nd location, and the guy working there was very slow. We were the only people waiting, and he kept having issues finalizing our rental. We were probably in there for at least 30 mins while he kept talking to himself as he tried to get the computer to finish our rental. His cell phone kept ringing and he kept looking at it and answering, telling the caller he was w/ a customer. He answered his phone 2 times during our transaction. He finally called UHaul and I am not even sure what they told him to do, because he told us to just take the key and leave and come back the next day to work it out. We were just renting the van for 2 hours. He tried to finish one more time, and miraculously, it worked. He was a nice guy, but totally not efficient and very slow. Upon returning the vehicle after hours, he instructed us to leave the key under the drivers side w/ the door unlocked, because their drop box didnt work. I couldnt believe that. Anyone could have come and stolen that van. I won't rent from UHaul again if I can help it, and never again from this location (Dayton Billards)

The area where trucks are parked doesn't have a "safe" feel to it. Inside the building was terribly cluttered, unorganized and felt dirty.

Truck was somewhat old, it rained and the windshield wipers were as old as the truck, meaning they didn't work well and visibility was terrible.

The return time mentioned is not correct and can be more accurate based on the actual return. Also u-haul should carry all types of vehicles in this location.

When we made online reservation, it was to a different location for 9:00 am, apparently we received a voicemail at 7:00pm the night before (that I didn't hear) saying that it would be a new location at 1:00pm instead of the time that was confirmed by email when I made the reservation. This really caused us some problems because the help that we had lined up to help us with the move wasn't available after 1:00pm. The staff was unresponsive to the problems that were caused to us, no apologies or explanations, just a curt 'you will have to go to this location at 1:00 for the truck'. Wasn't a good experience.

My email verification stated I could pick up my truck at Dayton Billiards. When I arrived they said my reservation was for Dryden Rd so they did not have the size truck I reserved. I did get a slightly smaller truck. Staff wasn't very friendly.

I came there before the store opened. The gentleman who opened the door took care of my paperwork anyway. I was very appreciative because I was on a huge time restraint. I'll be back in a couple of weeks for a different move and will use this location because of him. Thanks Christian

Give it to you with a 1/4 tank of gas so unless you basically over fill it for them, they charge you for a $30 fee because it is under 1/4 tank

My biggest complaint is the fact that the truck wasn't full when I picked it up and because it was raining the attendant only went half the way to the truck, pointed to it, and then turned around to go back inside.

I was very disappointed with my experience. After recording my use of the van for only 7 miles, I discovered that the contract mileage indicated I had used it for nearly 30 miles. The beginning mileage was 23 miles less than what I had noted when I left the store (I did not notice the discrepancy until it was too late, presumably). This resulted in an extra cost of $15+, by my estimation. Again, very disappointing.

I selected to rent a 2 wheel dolly and there wasn't one at the location so i ended up breaking the tab to use the on inside the truck which then i was also charged for. A double charge as well on my card both for 90 and 98 dollars. Hopefully these problems are solved in the next few days or they will NOT be happy days.
