Well when I pay up front for something I don’t expect to get charged a little more when I go to pick it up!!! And the place that I went to that I paid for it should’ve been the place that I picked up at !!!! Not some off the wall Random ass place today is an even open half the time just because you answer your phone because the cell phone !!!!!

Still in shock over the treatment I received yesterday evening. Called uhaul to tell them I was running late and they said if I was over 30 min late they’d charge me for another day so I told them if it does end up being to late I’ll just keep it another day if that’s ok and whomever I talked to said that was fine. A few hours after that call The guy running the place called and was very disrespectful raising his voice and telling me I needed to bring the truck back and he was charging my card another day rental even though he demanded I bring it back right away and while I’m trying to explain the conversation to him I had earlier he hung up on me TWICE I have never dealt with customer service like this. Not to mention his wife was on the line with him as well chiming in and being rude. I will NEVER get a rental from this place again. And I urge you to do the same.

Smiths was fine but it was the third location where we were supposed to pick up -- we reserved a truck near Great Bridge where we would not have to drive on the local interstates and on the night before the rental we got a text to pick up in Virginia beach - after getting to customer service (LONG LONG WAIT TIMES) i got moved to a location which was in Chesapeake and we thought closer but not so -- had to drive interstate with the truck -- not pleasant but NOT Smiths problem.....

If you don't know exactly where it is your GPS gets you within a 1/4 of a mile. You have to leave the road that the address is in and go back quite a ways to find it. I never did see a sign that said Smith's furniture I was just lucky enough to see the sign for Uhaul

Make sure the truck doesn't leak in the rain. Make sure the truck has washer fluid to clear bugs off of the windshield. Make sure the tire pressures are safe to properly operate the truck.

It is located at the Executive Airport facility, however, it was not easy to find despite using GPS. I was very happy that the equipment seemed to be brand new.

When picking up my truck I didn't look in the cargo area. However, when I arrived to my home to load up the cargo area had 15-20 larger size bugs crawling around. I did what I could to kill them or get them out but wasn't too happy with wondering if they would get in my stuff and eventually into my new place.



I ordered a $10/day and got a $7/day cart. Made my job harder. Location is in a remote location. I almost did not find it. U-Haul should provide additional directions or tell folks that is on or near the airfield.

I would not recommend this location. I originally had planned to rent from this location but they have hours posted until 5PM but when I called at 4:15PM they stated that they were not there and left because they had no rentals for the day so they closed early. This is not good for public businesses that post hours. This was absolutely frustrating and the lady was rude like I was an inconvenience to her by even calling and asking.

Before I went to pick up the uhaul from this location I had a terrible experience with Victor at AD Auto. Will never recommend him to anyone. He called me an hour before I was supposed to pick up the truck on Thursday, April 27 and asked me to come in early. When I arrived at 4pm he wasn't there. There was a sign on the door stating he will return at 4:30pm, however he did not. I waited for an hour for him (5pm). I was able to get ahold of him at 5:30 & told him that it was unacceptable what he did & that I would be there first thing in the morning, 9am. I arrived when I said I would & he said he didn't have a truck for me & that my reservation was no longer there. I was very upset. However I got a call from Smiths Furniture & More, and they saved me! Thank you so very much!

I was told I could return truck to closest place To me. That ended up not being true. Which cost me even more money. The guy was rude the day I rented. I'm just over uhaul I'll try someone else next time
