I had to wait 4 hours past the time I was told that the hitch installment would be complete. I was told I would receive a 15-20% discount from an employee named Edwin (I believe was his name) and then when I questioned there being no discount the other employee said "he shouldn't be making promises he can't keep" and then shrugged it off. So needless to say, I'm annoyed and I want some money back.

Called all week to reserve my trailer. Could never tell me when my trailer was coming in or where it was coming in. when i finally got there there was a whole installation of lights they failed to mention i needed, after i already got my hitch installed earlier in the week. i had to wait 2 1/5 hours while they made time to install my light hook-ups. this is why i called a week before and got something installed earlier in the week so i wouldn't have any problems. they caused much delay in my load and travel time. when i got to my destination they receiving end told me the hitch was attached too low, as that's what i thought as well. it was a hard 10 hour drive. moving is stressful. Uhaul makes it worse.

Was charged for an extra day and the extra insurance when it was returned before the allotted time I had and a refund is still pending 4 days later with no clear response or even work that anyone is working on getting my money back for the over charge.

20 dollars is displayed on your vans for rental and you charged me 80 dollars for an hour. I got a refund for 29 dollars... I will never use this service again nor will my family or friends.

my initial reservation was for the 4300 N Sheridan location. They never opened. I called the 800 number and they moved me to Broadway and promised me a$50.00 credit for the inconvenience. I called for the credit and it was denied. policy stated

You should have some parking available on premises for people to park their cars or warn them ahead of time while making the reservation that they can't park on premises - at least people would know to take an Uber or something.

Reserved a utility dolly with my order almost a month in advance. Arrive for my rental, they have no more dollies. Guy tells me he will make sure they take it off my rental fee. Made moving significantly more taxing without the dolly. Return truck. Get charged $75 for not returning a dolly I never received. Now I have to go through the hassle of getting a refund. Everytime I try to use Uhaul there is a problem. Never doing it again.

1. Long wait times 2. Truck had extremely loose steering 3. I was unable to keep the truck past 2 pm 4. I had originally booked at another location, but at the last minute my reservation was changed to this location, which was significantly further away and resulting in me spending more time and incurring more mileage cost.

I was given a defected uhaul. After only 4 miles of driving, my cargo van had no battery. Called for roadservice, it took 30 minutes to get in touch with them and I was not attended for another 1.5 hrs. When the roadservice came, he told me to keep it running for 45 minutes. Left it for 45 minutes and it did not work. I called for service again by midnight and was not reached for another 30 minutes. they told me service would be on their way in 2 hrs. I told them I could not be in the ally until 3am so told them to come next morning. Next morning came and they called me to see what time they wanted me the service to come, I said 2 hrs. Service came one hr early and I told him I was far away and was not going to be there for another hr, he said he would "wait". 20 minutes before the hr was done he called again saying what my eta was. I told him in another 20 minutes and he replied, "well I got other stuff to do let me call my boss and I will call you back." I got to the van and the guy was not there nor did he called me back again. Had to call service again and they COMPLAINED to me saying that the service people "waited and waited for (me) to arrive but didn't so he left." Excuse me but I specifically said to come in 2 hrs and you guys sent him an hr early and MIND YOU he did not even wait the whole hr I said. Additionally it's not my fault that your previous service took over an hr from ETA provided- FURTHERMORE YOU GUYS GAVE ME A DEFECTED UHAUL THAT DIED WITHIN 4 miles of DRIVING. Moving on- service called again, this time they came 30 mins promptly. And THIS TIME IT WORKED. While completing my trip, I went to fill the tank and on my way out of the gas station, suddenly the van started to defect yet AGAIN. AGAIN WHILE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. DO YOU KNOW HOW FREAKING SCARY IT IS TO DRIVE A VAN IN THE CITY KNOWING IT WOULD STOP WORKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD!?!? Fortunately for my poor scarred soul, I was able to make it to the drop off location. I kept the engine on and let the guys know that the uhaul was defected not once but TWICE. The guys told me this van is "new" starting with 97 miles only, but you know what's funny? This uhaul had plates from ARIZONA STATE. You know how many miles it is from Arizona to chicago? OVER 1,000+ MILES. There was no way in hell this van was brand new with only 97 miles going. At the end of the trip I was eatimated to have ridden 60 miles. ARE YOU SERIOUS? I DID NOT DRIVE TO ANOTHER STATE HOW DO YOU POSSIBLY THINK I DROVE 60 MILES WITH A BROKEN UHAUL? I have driven uhaul cargos and 15 feet trucks before and have never had problems until this cargo van. I STRONGLY advice you give this van a checkup so you don't have other customers suffer moving day like I did. I also demand to get a refund on my uhaul charges for a physical and emotional scarring given by poor customer service and a dangerously defected uhaul.

I was waiting in line for 30 minutes and nearly 35 upon return of the truck. Lastly, I wanted to pay cash and expressed the dire necessity to do so and was told after waiting in line again thst they already charged the card and was not offered the opportunity to correct their mistake. I will never recommend this company or use it again for my moving needs.
