The uHaul overall system for making reservations is in serious need of an overhaul. This experience DEFINITELY was the WORST. From booking vehicles that were not available to speaking to representatives on 3 separate phone calls just to cancel a bad reservation and get into another one. PLEASE listen to all of the audio recordings.

The self service check in was difficult, not intuitive, and our reservation was incorrect. Will not be renting from this location again. Took us 45 minutes to get ahold of someone who could help us.

I called to reserve a truck they told me to go pick it up there when I got to the location some guy told me I needed to go online and get my truck that way I spent an hour trying to figure this out I ordered blankets and a dolly they were not in the truck and subsequently the company was trying to charge me for them I would not go to that location again

I do like to speak to a person , rather than the internet service you are trying to implement, which by the way is so confusing, . The person that help me was very helpful and courteous.

No one is located at the site and keys are in a lockbox. You aren't told this in advance. Calls to U-Haul often require 20 minute wait times and then get kicked to odd locations to people who may not be knowledgeable. Website is poorly designed and executed. My advice is talk to a local U-Haul person live and reserve well in advance at that specific location. Relying on online / call center will result in disappointment. I was finally able to talk to a person who could help but it was not a fun experience prior to that.

Checkin process online was frustrating and didnt work and it took over an hour to do the rental and the equipment ordered wasnt even available. Also i was charged for insurance i wanted to decline

I reserved the truck, but listed my husband as the driver. I used his name and driver's license number. However, when he went to pick up the vehicle he had a terrible time getting the keys. Customer service made it WAY TOO DIFFICULT to get the keys just because I was the one who reserved it. We have the same last name and his driver's license information was listed on the order. It was a huge pain and we will NOT be using U-Haul again for future needs.

Need staff to help ppl when applying for rental, can be a bit difficult especially for older person. Receptionist at location did a great job in helping us with the rental form on the phone. ??????

they charged me for extra millage that I did not use. there was a problem with the self check out nobody was there to help at all I got to the truck at 8:30 pm when I was schedule for 7:30

The application was giving me problems to rent the cargo van, when I asked Sonia for help she was super kind enough to help me out throughout the steps in order for me to use the van and I was on my way. THANK YOU SONIA!!!

I rented a van from a truck share location using a standard reservation (staffed pick up). I had to call 3 phone numbers, spend 20 minutes on hold and 20 minutes working with customer service to get the reservation changed to allow me to complete the online pick up process and get the keys. The reservation system needs to prevent that from happening.

It was my first time using the phone to pick up my rental and while I like the idea in theory I had some issues that could be addressed. There were no directions on the mobile browser on how to turn my location services on and so it couldn't tell I was at the store. These directions should be added to the site. Fortunately there was one employee there kind enough to help me get my rental and be on my way. I did finally fumble through how to turn location services on for my web browser and was able to return the vehicle using the mobile process. It took a while to get used to this first time but in the future I think it will be better have gone through the process once especially since I have waited up to 30 minutes at other stores in the past just to drop off a rental.

It was terrible experience for me. You guys started selfservice system. I lost last of time. Plus, there was no rear mirror in the car. it was very hard to drive for me. Please stop self check in system. I will never rent a truck from that location again. We rent a truck every week but if it happens again, I have to change the company. sorry

Our experience was terrible. My pick up location as moved three times, one was to an entirely diffrent city. Then I was forced to use the self check in app to get a pick up location in the city of Chicago. Then the self check in app didn't work and I spent an hour on hold waiting to talk to someone about tech assistance. When I spoke to someone they let me know that the app wasn't working properly and did manage to adjust my reservation and I was able to get to the next stage of the check in process but then I had to submit the drivers photos three time and when I called to figure out why they were not being accepted the representative hung up on me. I was scheduled to pick up my truck at 11am and I didn't get on the road until 1pm. The truck it self was terribly banged up and made a horrible noise when you execrated. I will never rent from any U haul ever again.

The online only reservation system was not working on this day. Thankfully an actual human was at the store or else we wouldn't have been able to get into the truck. Also, the billing was wrong initially but thankfully corrected. Overall the experience wasn't the best but in the end, issues were resolved and things worked out.

Hello, I ordered a uhual at Jefferson park using the self service system. I reserved a uhual for 5am and arrived at 8am. I opened my uhual app and the pickup row was gray. Uhual said my Reservation is not ready yet. I called customer support, then I talked to Sonia (uhual staff). She helped me registrar for my uhual truck.
