1700 box rd was great, 930 10th avenue, which was my original drop off point was terrible, I had a prepaid storage unit on my contract and the people at 930 10th avenue dropped the ball and rented out my unit to someone else while I was standing there at the counter trying to get checked in.

As far as dropping off the trailer rental it was great. Renting a storage unit there on the other hand was beyond frustrating. When i calles to reserve a unit the woman gabe me the wrong price over the phone. She gave me a price for a non-climate control room when i specifically asked for climate control. The guy getting our unit ready in the computer didn't talk to us or relay any information to what he was seeing or what was going on, on his end. The storage unit itself was UPSTAIRS. No ramps or elevator! I don't understand how they expect people to pay to have to carry their things, heavy things, Up a flight of stairs. If I wanted to carry my heavy belongings up a set of steps I would rent an upstairs apartment! The card we were given didn't even work the first time we tried to use it to even gain access to our storage so we had to wait around for them to get it straight. Once we got that settled, the entrance into the building had about an inch lip so we then had to lift our heavily loaded cart over this concrete lip to be able to roll it to the stairs! It was the worst experience and I will never again use u-haul for a storage facility.

Was unaware of NEW U-Haul policy that they must call someone that "knows you' before you can pick up your reserved equipment. If no-one answers, you are NOT renting the truck you reserved. I tried to explain that nobody I knew was going to be awake or answer the phone from a strange phone number at 07:30 on a Saturday morning! Didn't matter. I tried to explain that if I had known... didn't matter. I tried to explain that I was on a tight schedule... didn't matter. So a 15 year U-Haul customer with a reservation, driver’s license, and credit card is NOT enough to rent from U-Haul anymore. WOW! Good news is, I was able to finally get someone to answer the phone. Bad news is, the delays caused me to NOT finish my job. Oh, by the way, I wasn’t the only one that morning irritated by this new policy. I was watching as other people were being told that their reservation was on “hold” until they could get someone who “knows them” to answer the phone. Yes, your new policy was going over like a box of rocks! Will stay away from U-Haul for a while. Also, you might want to give your customers some warning before you change policies in the future. Especially when the policy change will disable your reservation!

I didn't like how money was taken out my account 3 weeks after I used the truck. I was told that everything was good when I returned it. Then 3 weeks later which was 3 days ago Money was taken out.



After several rentals I've always found this location to be very professional and efficient. Personnel checked equipment including checking tire pressure which is extremely important when traveling on the open road.

When we went in 2 weeks prior to get boxes for moving we asked how had in advance did we need to request a truck. We were told ASAP. I placed my order for a 20 foot truck. We go on our scheduled day and time and we are told that they do not have a 20 foot and that we need to get the 15 foot because that is all that is available. I'm highly upset that I requested the vehicle in advance and it was not held for us. If we didn't need that truck ASAP I would have taken my business elsewhere

When you tell a customer that you have a certain size truck available please make sure that truck actually exist. I Was Told That You Had A Large Truck That I Could rent for my move, But when I got there you only had a 15' small truck. Being that I had a small truck, it took much longer and cost me more money because it took more trips and more milage money. I was on a budget so I had to return the truck before I was finished because of the milage and then had to borrow a trailer to finish moving. Overall I was very dissatisfied with the truck rental because of this issue. Thank you
