They stated that I owed money to pay for missing packing blanket. I told the owner that all that I received were unpacked in the uhaul. He did not agree. I stated that I would go out and count them. I counted 12 blankets. The helpers agreed that all were there! The owner did not apologize and did not acknowledge their error. If I have another uhaul need, I may go to Evergreen or Denver to get the trailer.

The only issue was the snow right in front of the trailer when we picked it up made backing up perfectly a bit hard. Snow can't really be blamed on the location though! Everything else went flawlessly. Very convenient pickup location for me, I am sure this won't be my last rental from Long Bros.

This was the worst experience I have had with UHaul, by far, over many years of using them. The service, manners and professionalism was terrible from the staff (it is primarily a towing facility), the rental facility was built in the 40's and looks it, and my truck did not operate correctly, overheated so that it took me 2 hours vs 30 minutes to drive it back and they overcharged me on pads and cleaning. Do not use the Long Brothers UHaul in Conifer. I have a call into UHaul to settle this.

First they told me my vehicle was not properly sized to pick up the trailer. After a few minutes of going round and round I found out they were trying to give me an 6x12 enclosed trailer (I had the open 5x9). Then they told me that my receiver and ball were not rated for the trailer I was getting. I told them I had a 2" ball I could put on instead of the 1 7/8" and they explained that my receiver still wasn't rated properly and I would have to get a new one. Plus they were closing in a hour and would be gone for the weekend so I better hurry or I wouldn't have a trailer. So, I ran to the O'Riley's Auto parts and bought a new receiver and 2" ball to make sure I had the proper rating. When I got back to their shop and was switching out the receiver and ball my current equipment was rated for 3 times what they stated it was, the guy looked at the kg not the lbs. What should have been a very easy rental took a good portion of my afternoon and a lot of undue stress for me and my three kids. To top it all off I had the drop off location do a pre-inspection so I wouldn't have any of these issues. The lady working the desk was rude at first and the guy that looked at my vehicle was beyond approachable. Once she realized they screwed up she was a little less rude but still not acceptable for a basic customer service level. The gentlemen that hooked up the trailer was fine but kept quite through the hole process. Would never pick up or drop off at this location in the future, if its the only option then I would have to switch rental companies.

I initially signed my contract with the drop off location as Alma CO, which is 8 miles from my destination. At time of pickup, i was advised my drop off location was now changed to Conifer, CO, over 50 minutes (one way) from my destination location. I found it frustrating and expensive to have to change things at the last minute.

When I called in originally, I was scheduled for a trailer in evergreen. Wasted an hr to find out all their vehicles were spoken for. The girl there was nice and sent me to consider. Whoever is in the call center should be better informed.

They were all pretty nice here got us in and out quickly. He could not help us on a discount because he did not have the power to do that he said. My complaint is when you have a vehicle that's not running right you shouldn't have to pay for the whole thing. And you shouldn't have to pay for the miles that you did not use. Though I did use my miles to get to the station to return the vehicle it was not the right one. Since the transmission was not working correctly it would over rev and waste gas that way. I had to put additional gas into the van and it ended up being 5 miles per gallon which is not really normal even for that vehicle. A quarter of a tank in 50 miles. That made my bill even more expense.

Long Bros was very polite and professorial. They did miss that one of the uhaul tires was worn out bu uhaul replaced it before I left on my journey.



We had to call Road Side Assistance when we left Nashville because the emergency break on the trailer was engaged, due to the trailer disconnecting, and when my husband asked the Road Side Rep how to disengage the emergency break so we can continue our trip, SHE TOLD HIM SHE DIDN'T KNOW AND TOLD HIM HE NEEDED TO GOOGLE IT !!! That was an absolutely unacceptable response!! It's a very scary thought if we had gotten that response in the middle of the night on an interstate!

The first person I met was very nice but I later received an email telling me I was being charged for gas. This location is across the street from a gas station and I stopped there before returning the truck and I returned the truck with more gas than when I rented it with. I feel someone at this location is dishonest with there gas readings only charging for a small fee knowing most people will not go through the trouble to dispute it. I may bcs I have a picture of the gas gauge and my receipt showing their testing to be dishonest
