Very sketchy area. Didn’t feel safe. Also- you should prep people for the number of questions and photos required at checkout. It took much longer than anticipated . Lastly- if someone drops off and someone else just comes and picks up- when and how are these trucks getting maintained?

We have rented from U-Haul several times with little to no issues. Easy pickup and drop off transactions. This took almost 45 minutes to get the truck rented and gone. Between things being added to my charges such as insurance, Dollie’s, blankets and the mileage charge and daily rental charge was NOTwhat my original reservation claimed, it took multiple phone calls for her to clear things up as well as the 10 other phone calls she had to take that were personal or regarding their other community services. We had to find them in another building to return the truck where I got an attitude because the days had to be adjusted. She once again couldn’t get the charges corrected and after 25 minutes I told her I had to leave because I had a appt where she told me that was my problem as she said “sorry about your appt but I’ve been open all day you could have returned the truck earlier. The truck trailer compartment was filthy. The walls were covered in sawdust and there were piles of wood chips everywhere. It looked like the previous renter had hauled large quantities of mulch or used the truck bed to capture debris from a wood chipper machine all was left for us to clean before we could move our personal furniture. The truck also drove horribly. It shook terribly and could barely keep pace. At 35 mph it would vibrate and handle poorly.

U-Haul itself (the company) seemed to be having server issues (the app on my phone was also unresponsive), delaying the process greatly, but the individuals at Community Resource Center were not to blame for that. They were patient and friendly, helping me stay patient as well.
