The U-Haul I was provided had a damaged roof and allowed rain water to get on my property. The staff made no attempt to warn me about the damage during the rental process and only left it in hand written fine print on the back/bottom of a receipt. I have pics to show this to.

I think the wheels need balancing. The truck vibrates even at low speed. Overall, it was good and it was quite spacious based on the things we carried.

I made a reservation for a 15' truck and subsequently received several emails stating that I was now "guaranteed a truck." The email also stated that I could go in at 9am for pickup. I arrived at 9 and saw that the store did not open until 930. After an employee finally arrived and set up, I was able to drive out w a truck by 10:30am, an hour and a half after my time of stated reservation pick up. Halfway back home, I received a phone call that they had given me the wrong truck and that I had to return to the site. Upon arrival, I was told the truck that I was supposed to have needed repair and that they MIGHT be able to find a 20+ feet truck instead, but of course they could try and waive the extra fee, "but no guarantees." I explained to them that I did not want a larger truck and of course I would not be paying extra for a different sized truck. After which, I got another phone call from the owner of the davie site stating that there was absolutely no other trucks at other sites, even a bigger one. She told me I would have to wait an additional 60-90 mins for Roadside assistance to arrive and fix the original truck and that was all she could do for me. So after hanging up w Yogi (I believe her name was), I directly called uhaul' reservation dept and was then transferred to scheduling dept. I explained my situation and the young lady I spoke to immediately found me another 15' truck 20 mins away and told me that all the paperwork and contract will be prepared by the time that I arrive. Once arriving at the Hollywood site, I was finally able to drive off with a truck by 11:30, two and a half hours after my reservation. By the time I was done w my move, I received a call from Roadside assistance stating that they were still on their way to fix my truck, but there was still one more to be fixed ahead of mine and that it would be another hour or two. I told him that he must have not been notified that I was already given a different truck from a different site and that he could take his sweet time and not to worry about rushing to fix the truck. I do not understand why the owner of the davie site was not able to do what I did and find another truck through her own company, and I had to go around her to find my own solution. The davie site is an example of incompetence and poor management. The customers should not be held accountable for lack of proper and timely maintenance of trucks that are promised to them.

We were promised 10 moving blankets and told they were to be placed in the truck. Upon arrival and inspection of the truck there were no blankets. I was given three blankets and was told by the lady at the store that she would personally drop off more blankets a little later. I never heard from her and she never dropped off blankets.

This was the worst experience of my life. I was quoted one price over the phone but was charged higher once I got to the location. They informed me that the rental payment wouldn't be pulled out of my account until I have returned the truck but was charged the minute I left. The gentleman, Jorge, was unprofessional. When I went to return the vehicle he was talking on his cellphone, and I wasn't the only customer in the building. I will not be using this company no longer.

The U-Haul rep that called me from scheduling, stated that the office opens at 9:00. The sign on the window states 9:30. The first employee showed up at 10, but did not have a key. The owner showed up at 10:40. It put me behind schedule by over an hour and I run a business too. This is not the first thing that has happened to me this year at this location. I will be using a different location going forward. I give them a year, two tops depending on the cash reserves before this location is "Out of Business".

The rate was much higher than what I was quoted on the phone. I asked and was charged for a dolly and pads and there were none. The truck was dirty and smelled terrible.
