I was guaranteed a 26’ uhaul per my reservation. I booked though Taylor which sent me to fort st. I was told they only had a 20’ am day that was all they could accomadate. I had planned my move to South Carolina for months and knew I needed a 26’ uhaul. The woman manager insisted they don’t have one available and reservations don’t mean anything and that all my stuff would fit. I reluctantly took the 20’ truck and guess what that evening the truck was full and I had to then rent a 6x12 ft trailer that cost me an additional $750. This was a cost that I did not need to have if I had the 36’ truck that I reserved and was guarneteed. I want rectification over this matter and this is just my first response to the horrible treatment I was subjected to from the uhaul staff and company. I hope to hear a response from this complaint and if I don’t I will be taking the chain of command to the top and most likely taking it to the locale news. This treatment is unacceptable that I had to go through. I want to be compensated for your companies lies and broken guarantees. This is not my first response you will be hearing.

Your communications was terrible. I feel like I got ripped off and probably won't use uhaul again. I went there and talked to them and I called the 1800 number to make sure everything was right and still I had to pay more when my brother in law dropped the truck off. We had the truck 26 hours and brought it back with 7/8 of a tank we got it at a 1/4. I thought we had it for 48 hrs that why I called and went down there to make sure that what it was. It seemed busy and short staff at the time of drop off but the staff remained calm and cordial. The only complaint was receiving the reservation on line with my credit card informantion.

I reserved a trailer for 24 hours (1 Day) and when I went to pick it up I was scheduled by the clerk to return it 5 hours after I picked it up because the clerk thought it would be better so another customer can take it. During Dispatch, the clerk asked me if my lights work and responded "Yes, off course" so the clerk asked me to kneel down and connect the harness and said "I won't hook it up if your lights don't work." The clerk just didn't want to connect the harness herself. I asked the clerk if a queen mattress would fit in a 5x8 trailer and the clerk threw her hands up and walked away. She was having a bad day, but it has nothing to do with me. When I returned the trailer, I pulled up to the return bay and went inside. The clerk inside asked me if I was returning and I said yes, so the clerk asked me to drive the trailer to where they store the trailers. Where the trailers are stored is a different area than the return bay. But I followed his instructions. But I kept waiting for someone to unhook the trailer and no one came. Finally, I went out and unhooked it myself. While I was unhocking it, there was a Uhaul employee standing outside watching me from a distance. Once I was done I drove back to the office so I can get my receipt and this employee asked me "Did you unhhok the trailer yourself, or someone unhooked it for you?" This is the same employee that was watching me the entire time. I responded "I unhooked it and you were watching me." He apologized like nothing happened and using his wireless device checked me out. I will never return to this office again. I called the corporate office and filed a claim because I really deserve to get my money back for the hassle and poor customer service I experienced.

From my email to you at 754071_GM@uhaul.com, in response: Important - the receipt for the above subject contract is incorrect. U-Haul is charging me for a 2-day rental, when it is only a 1-day rental. The amount of the charge should be $28.57, NOT $57.13. I was overcharged $26.56. I am requesting a reimbursement of $26.56. My rental time started on Saturday, 10/13/18 at 7:56 am, for a 24-hour rental I returned the trailer on Sunday, 10/14/18 at 7:50 am. This is the time I returned the trailer. I placed the trailer in the exact spot from which it was removed Saturday, the day before. The video recorded by the cameras on your premises will show that. I told the lady at the desk prior to leaving on Saturday that I would keep the trailer for the 24-hr period. Also, I called before 7 pm on Saturday and spoke to a Ms. Nieves, who said she will note that on the contract record and update it in the system. I kept calling your location throughout this morning (Sunday), and apparently no one was in the office. My call kept getting forwarded to a call center. Finally, I was able to speak to Kewon Ganaway at your Detroit location around 12 noon, who informed me that the trailer had been received. I informed him, to be sure, that the rental was for one day since the trailer was returned at 7:50 am Sunday, prior to their opening, and he agreed. The receipt you sent me is in error for a 2-day rental. I am requesting a reimbursement of $26.56. Please advise. Thank you. Jesus M. Molina email@example.com

Waited 45 minutes for my reserved truck because of clerks mistake on previous customer same clerk when I returned truck would not check me out claiming I was past closing time but in reality I was on time he paid no attention to me while he washed the lot with his back to me. When I got his attention he said he was closed and rudely told me it was the rules when really he closed early and would not deal with me Inever had this problem before and was very disappointed on how I was treated. I am a frequent renter and do not know if I will return to this location

I was overcharged for this truck, still have not got in contact with anyone! I was assured by the woman behind the counter that by dropping the uhaul off after hours I would not be charged for a second day. I asked this multiple times. I called the next day and someone who was “handling their calls” said she would tell them to give me a call. Here it is two days later and I haven’t got a call and I can’t even get in contact with this facility. I want the money I was over charged back. It is ridiculous at this point.
