The process for completing the self check in is very flawed. It is not entirely the fault of the people working there. I’m sure they are capable of their jobs, but we hardly useful in this case. Everything went wrong beginning with the online reservation. During this process the photo of a drivers license shouldn’t be optional, it should be required, because you have to do it for approval anyways. Also the approval process needs to be a more straight forward process to help you agents and customers. Malachi, the man who helped me, needed two references in order to approve me rather than the one that was originally requested. Also scanning the QR code was only useful if you hadn’t already made a reservation. The agent at the location had to reset my reservation in order for me to continue with the process. Finally the agents at the store were not trained up on the process and they said they couldn’t help at all. That is a problem and I don’t blame them.

I have a claim against Uhaul - because I was supposed to get a truck from the San Ramon site - but it was unstaffed, and the phone app did not work - and the C/S rep took 30min on the phone but no one could come onsite to get me a truck. So that is the only reason I had to go to the Dublin site - very inconvenient. Also - the movers charged me for the full hour that Uhaul caused me to be delayed. I will send my complaint and reimbursement letter ASAP (after I get internet service, and a day off of work from doing Covid-19 testing). I also paid for 4 moving blankets - but none were provided to me. Very dissatisfied with my experience, and need reimbursement. Monica Bender

Jason was very helpful--pulled up directions to my pickup location for me, since the van didn't have GPS. Thanks for being open at this location, when the one in San Ramon was not :-) I think staff servicing this location should be wearing latex gloves, and discuss issues (was vehicle sterilized--i.e. steering wheel, door handles, etc) related to safety during the pandemic.

The only issue I had was dealing with your digital process. It took four separate times last night to ensure the reservation was set properly and when I followed the instructions this morning online I was not able to access my reservation and was out on hold. The Dublin staff could see my distress at the situation and did not hesitate to assist me. They secured my rental without me having yet another lengthy hold time on the phone. They are the best.

The assistant manager I think her name was Ann was rude, my truck was filthy. The back of the truck had FIBERGLASS all over the place. my packing supplies was not in the truck as the Manager had previously stated. I cleaned the cab of the truck as it was dirty. when I tried to show the assistant manager how dirty the truck was she laughf and said she had jut cleaned it. it took her three times to pick my order of packing supplies, each time telling me my order was pulled. I had three wardrob boxes and one matress bag

I'm not sure if l would recommend this location it not. I should be getting some kind of credit for driving a truck that was not up to code to drive. The passenger mirror was not able to be adjusted so...l could not see anything except the ground. I had to rely on my grandson to tellme what he saw to theRight. It was actually very frightening to drive your truck with NO VISION ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE TRUCK.

Fremont grimmer location is great and so is Dublin. At Dublin location the girl at front desk suggested good options. Helped save some bucks and right decision. When I dropped at closing time it was very cold. The ride to pick me after dropping haul took longer The gentleman I guess his name is Martin. He gave his personal foldable blanket to me as I was shivering without a jacket. I m deeply touched by his gesture. It’s only because of people like him this world is still existing. Thanks Martin. Did I get his name correct?

The facility was clearly short of personnel to handle the weekend customer load. There were only two people working the rental desk and when I left that evening, at least six rental return customers were waiting for check in service. The manager and the other worker both tried at different times to assist me with complications of assigning a substitute truck to me at the last second. I had to return in the middle of the rental to get things straight and left the site believing they had successfully converted my rental to the correct mileage and fuel readings. Unfortunately, the corporate system has prevailed and I am being charged for 17.5 gallons of fuel after driving 59 miles. Now I have to go back again and fight your corrupt system. Can you program a little sense into the system? Three miles to the gallon for a pickup truck with less than 2,000 miles on it does not make sense.
