U-Haul seems to have a coordination or communication problem. I received a request via text to return the truck to another location other than the pickup location for a reduced rate, which I agreed to do. I specified the location that I would leave the truck. When I arrived at the drop location, they did not have a record of it and then proceeded to tell me that I should tell the renting personnel where I was going to drop the truck next time that I rent, which I had done, and that the pickup location can look up and find the correct location or form. First, that is not my job to know that information nor to give it. Second, I don't intend to rent another truck to move . . . but that is superfluous information, so I did not share it.

NAOMI IWe got to the location close to closing and gave the employee our key. They would not check us out and the app was not working. I had to call the next day to the 800 number. They assured me that the store would check it in and all would be good that day. A week later and the store had still not checked in the vehicle. I call the 800 number and the rep gets the manager over that area involved. She said he would call me. I get a text saying it had been checked in and we were not charged any extra days. Then we are charged for more than 30 extra miles. We didn’t have a full picture of the mileage, only the last two numbers because we focused on the gas (didn’t expect the truck to be MIA for a week). They were not the same and the gas was a a little off as well. However, we will not be using Uhaul again and it is a lesson learned.
