Under a separate email, I listed out the multiple issues with scheduling a hitch installation, multiple delays, lack of communication, and overall delay in my move.

While my experience at this location has always been positive, this latest visit leaves me disappointed. The fuel level of the truck that I returned was more then when I received it, however the rental yard charged me for fuel after the fact. I feel this was somewhat dishonest and will color my consideration in renting from U-Haul again in the future.

Explain the rental time better even though the price of the trailer was for 24 hours if you tell them you think you are going to return in a few hours they put that in the system and then if you are a little later the computer wants to charge you for 2 days when I only had it for 6 hours. They did correct it but not that good of system.

Trailer brakes locked off and on while moving. When attendant was told he didn't even apologize, just kept checking in equipment. I was only four hours into my rental, he did not inquirer if I wanted another trailer.

Horrible experience. Had a trailer hitch installed in my SUV and had them hook up a trailer to take from San Diego to Tucson. I have never had a vehicle with a trailer hitch, or driven a vehicle towing anything, which I told them. I said I needed to know everything bc I would be doing this trip alone and didn't want any problems. They told me all was checked out and just to follow sign in trailer about loading heaviest in front of trailer and drive slow. My sister and I loaded the truck in the driveway. Almost done loading when a neighbor pointed out how low the front of the trailer was. We hadn't noticed since we had been at the back the whole time, but looked and agreed. So my sister called U-Haul. They said we must have loaded it wrong. So my sister and I unloaded the truck and reloaded it, being sure the heaviest things were definitely in the front. About 3/4 of the way through it seemed even lower than before. We called U-Haul again and they said that it would even out as soon as the whole truck was loaded. So we finished loading everything and looked at it again and it was still very close to the ground. They told us that we must be overloading it and gave us the weight limit. We said we wrre sure we hadnt put on that much but he insisted. So we unload it again and weighed each box. The load was ofer 400 pounds less than they told us, so we called back. We spoke to someone new who said if it was him he would load the heaviest items above the wheels of the trailer which would make it more balanced. We thought that made sense so we unloaded and reloaded with the heaviest things in the middle instead of in the front. This barely made any difference but it did seem to be maybe a half inch higher. This was extremely nerve-racking and especially doing all of this work in over 100° temperatures. When all was said and done, having to leave, we pulled out of the drive of the home we had been renting. The trailer and hitch made a huge scrape about 3 feet long down the middle of the driveway. When we got out onto the normal part of the street it was slightly more than 3 inches above the ground. Again we called U-Haul and were told this was fine and to just drive very slowly and avoid any bumps. Needless to say it took us three times longer than normal to drive the distance to Tucson. Many times the trailer drug on the road, which I'm sure was not good for my vehicle. At several places there was road construction and we had to actually get off the road and go on a side road around the construction because there were huge gaps in the freeway with higher and lower pavement and we were terrified of getting stuck on it because it was so low on the ground. Upon arriving in Tucson we had no way of getting to our new home without going over three speed bumps's. All three nearly stopped the trailer and put a huge strain on my car. Luckily we were able to back it up a couple feet into the driveway before it got stuck on the driveway. This caused us to have t

To be honest, i was nervous about picking the equipment up here because of the horrible reviews on google maps, but the experience was quite different. The check out time to get the truck and back on the road was very fast, and they were very flexible with pick up times;both for the truck and tow-dolly. They gave an option to pick up the dolly later on after the truck was full, wich helped me to prevent any damage and a much easier load time.
