This Escondido location saved the day! I was provided with a larger truck, an extra hour, and a $50 credit because a dealer in San Marcos did not check the schedule for the day and notice a double booking until I showed up at that location. Lesson? Use official Uhaul locations, not dealers.

Can you please close at 5:00 but have someone help tell 5:30. I saw 4 trucks all get there at 5:00 and not enough help. 1 older missing eye guy very upset. But really why I'm writing is the Black guy was so sweet to everyone. Huge smile Kind and Cared like he was the owner of Uhaul. This is hard to close on a phone after a long day

Several phone calls took way too long to be answered. Over :25 minutes in one call. The every :18 second recording is irritating to listen to EVERY :18 SECONDS!!!! I timed it. Indeed I know!!!! Being charged fir a furniture dolly that was never there and taking 3 phone calls to address it was not what I had planned just to save a few bucks. I received a future discount if I should use U Haul again. I’m seriously doubting I will use it as the competitors have the same products and feedback from friends it that they do not have issues like these. I’m close to 60 years old and have used u haul since I was 19. My loyalty has been pushed. The phone call system was the worst I had to put up with. As is told the rep; as people who are moving we are already stressed pissed people. Why do you guys (u haul personnel) have to piss us off more with a recording that says, ‘ give us some feedback’ every :18 seconds! Because by the time we talk to the rep we are really mad! There’s the feedback. Again. Nit so eloquent, but I am an angry customer towards u haul.

Fill up every gas tank to the max. It's more easy instead of getting a head ache of over / under filling. Makes me not want to ever get U-Haul again, I will definitely check out Penske for my next move.

Although there was a line starting to form when I was picking up me Van; UHAUL made my moving easy. The person behind the count was efficient and explained things well. The service guy went over my van well and quickly. Upon returning the Van again the service person went over the Van, mileage, gas and damages etc., made things easy, really UHaul look good and professional. I definitely do business with UHAUL again.

The local mgr at Escondido was great. The problem with U-Haul is more macro. I called 2 days before my pick up to confirm my pick up, (not to mention I made the reservation 30 days prior) confirm location, confirm time, etc. The morning of my scheduled pick-up I call my location of pick -up (No one even called me, e-mailed me or text me), and while I was on route and they informed me that they did not have my trailer. They sent me 15 miles (35 minutes one way) east to Escondido for my trailer. You would think that a company as large U-Haul would figure this out. This has happened to me 5 times out of the last 10 years. U-Haul should have a division that delivers the product to the site that was originally scheduled when something like this happens. But you don't and you don't even consider this service. If U-Haul didn't completely monopolize the industry and I had options I would NEVER use U-Haul. The service is terrible....it's a joke. This happens too often and the uneducated people you hire to answer the phones are ignorant and have no power to help the client.

Well after looking at where I wanted to pick up my rental, which was way out of my way, I did a quick pop in to this location! Talked to the rep at the counter, was able to get what I really wanted at this location! Pick up and drop off where a breeze!
