3 young employees...not very eager to help...neither was wearing a mandatory mask...equipment was not checked in from previous rental... damage inspection was not done before leaving location...

The original rental was scheduled at another location in Raleigh for 9:30 AM. When I got there the office was closed and didn't open until 10, however they only had a 10' truck when my rental was for a 26'. I called another Uhaul in Raleigh and they said they had one that I could pick up at 3. Then I got an email saying that they had to change the location, which is why I ended up getting it at this location. This is the second time in my last 2 rentals with Uhaul that the truck that was reserved wasn't available. Also, the delay from 9:30 to 3 made me have to change all packing arrangements and I lost a whole day of the move. Very poor track record.

The staff of seemingly unsupervised young folks were less than focused. They could not find the keys to the truck I'd reserved and I waited twenty minutes for them to try to locate those keys and in the end they did not but they gave me a different truck instead. The person that was â€œHelpingâ€ me was taking not only personal phone calls while â€œhelpingâ€œ me but she was on her phone chatting via Facebook messenger while I was standing at the counter. The other staff were more interested with eating lunch in the back office than helping the queue of customers. I will say that one young lady (blonde) was visibly embarrassed by the nonchalance and unprofessionalism of her coworkers. This place could reign it in.
One thing. When there is a line of customers and someone calls, to "inquire" about rentals and pricing, have the rep put "them" on hold. If we(customers who get in there car)came to the store, we usually are serious about renting or obtaining services and we should not have to stand inline and wait while someone gets pricing over the phone.
The place was a mess. The workers had no idea what was going on but they were nice. We did the mobile reservation and when we went to the key locker, it was empty. After standing in line inside for ten minutes a worker let us know she took the key out of it and that's why it wasn't there. No real explanation there. When we went to return the key, there was no keybox like the app said and a worker who wasn't wearing anything that would ID her as a UHAUL worker just took it. I also didn't get a code for the movers to be paid and the workers had no idea where that would be or what it is.
When I brought it in to drop off the employ said I was at the wrong U-Haul and if I left it there I would have to pay a fee. The U-Haul I picked it up at had only one employ working and there were a lot of customers waiting to pickup rentals so he forgot to set up a drop off location. I had to call the Corp. Office to get someone to give me a drop off location since the 3 nearest u-hauls would not accept the rental.
We rented a 6 x 12 Enclosed trailer and it leaked so bad on Sunday it ruined our king size mattress. The staff at this location were nice and friendly.

The radio in the truck did not work and when I mentioned it the tech did not respond. The truck smelled highly of anti-toxin spray. I ended up catching a cold.
When a vehicle is used for one day only charge them for the one day not 2 days.

The trailer I rented was missing one floor-level tie down. It was not swept out from the previous user. The mid-wall rails were very close to the wall and had tight openings that made it hard to insert ropes for tying in the furniture. I reserved the trailer online and checked in online prior to arriving. Still they took over 15 minutes to manually fill in the information I had already provided. So much for the no-contact reservation.
