I had to call when I arrived at destination. When i did, they first send me to rue Front in Aylmer but it was closed. Then I call again and they send me to rue St-Louis. The store was open but too late to take the trailer since the lady did not tranfert the location on the contract.. No way I was leaving with the trailer again. I let it there and I had to call again the next morning to be able to transfert the deposit location. Just hope now that every thing is OK.

Dans mon cas, pour la location d'une simple remorque durant quelques jours dans le but d'effectuer des travaux, le personnel a été très aimable, expérimenté et collaboratif. Je considère que j'ai eu un service hors normes et d'une qualité exceptionnelle à tous points de vue. Je n'ai pas reçu d'estimation de prix à ma demande suite à un problème informatique qui ma retenu une heure avant que je puisse quitter avec la remorque. Lorsque je suis revenu j'ai payé 75 dollars pour une heure d'utilisation. Je n'aurais jamais loué la remorque à ce prix l'avoir su à l'avance tel que demandé. Je me suis fais littéralement avoir.

When I returned the van, I tried to close the contract using the UHaul mobile app and it was not letting me taking the required picture of the mileage and gas indicator. I wasted a good 20 min trying to get it to work and luckily a store employee came to my rescue even though the store was closed at that time.

Lorsque arrive 5 min avant l'ouverture je suis entre par la porte coulissante qui s'est ouvert a mon arrive. On m'a demande de sortir dehors et attendre. 1. I was booking for 24 hours or less and you charged me for two days on my credit card when doing the initial rental. 2. I declined the insurance and was told that I had to purchase. I pushed back and was told unless I had commercial, had to purchase the insurance. I pushed back and said weird never when I rented from Ontario. I pushed back and said when I book oline it is an option. Then told because a US Website doesn't necessarily reflect how works in Canada/Quebec. Then told Quebec Law - take it or leave it. 3. I was then told if I leave within the 24 hours and at night, call the next morning, prior to 9:30am so billed for 1 day. I dropped the trailer off around 9:30pm - so essentially a 12 hour rental. I called around 9:10am and waited 15-20 minutes for an answer. Then more or less, why are you calling? I was told to. Yes we see it on the lot - tx. I then at 3pm received a bill for 2 days rental + 2 days insurance. I sent an email asking to correct, I still have not heard back from this location. I find this all unfortunate - The location is great, easy to get in and out of for pickup or dropoff. The lot attendant was friendly and helpful. I had no issues with the equipment. In a timely fashion, the UHaul Manager for the area phoned me to discuss my 1st issue which was showing up at another location for a reserved trailer and the owner told me, I have none, the one you booked was stolen. Unfortunate but this cost me another couple hours and led me to this location that had one available on short notice.

I had the most awful experience with u-haul. I made reservations for a van to be picked up in a specific location on Aug 29th in Ottawa, Ontario and dropped off in Hamilton, Ontario. The day before, I am told they don't have the vehicle I ordered but if I want there is one at another location (45 minute drive away). Due to when my parents' train was coming in we had to change the reservation to "after-hour pick up" (which I have an e-mail confirmation). We get to the location, follow the instructions on the website to get a code to open a lock box that contains the keys. This didn't work since the website didn't recognize my confirmation code. Called an agent, after some time he finally sees in their system that I do in fact have a reservation. He gives me the codes for 3 different boxes, all of which were empty! Someone forgot to leave the keys. We scramble & rush to make it to a u-haul centre 30 minutes away, right before they close. They agree to give us a van, but we MUST bring it back Aug 31st at 10am. We take the van, pack up in the dark (very behind schedule). early next morning we drive the van 5 hours to Hamilton, Ontario. In Hamilton, we inquired about the cost to drop it off here and not return it to the centre in Quebec. We were told it would be close to $1000. So Aug 31st, 3AM we drove the van ( $100 in gas) back to Quebec to the same centre. The General Manager was extremely rude and refused to let me speak. She thought I was someone else who was dropping off the van late (when really we were 30 minutes early). After some arguing, she finally allowed me to speak. She was nice enough to reimburse me for some of the money I spent, but the customer service was absolute trash, and it took me crying and freaking out before she let me speak. She was not the person who screwed me over, but regardless, she is part of the company and I needed to share some thoughts. I wanted to explain (which she later allowed me) that I was now out of additional funds then what this move should have cost me. I had to spend $100 on gas to bring the van back, $30 cab ride back to Ottawa, and $210 on bus tickets for an 8-hour trip back to Hamilton. As mentioned, she was nice enough to reimburse me for some of the funds, but this doesn't make up for the treatment by all the different u-haul agents I spoke with, the stress and time that all this took. No one cared when I called, every agent I spoke with gave me conflicting information, and no one tried to fix the problems. The general manager of this location was kind (after some time), but this company is incredibly awful to its customers. Will never use them again.



Online booking means nothing to uhaul. I booked 2 weeks in advance at Kanata (Jim's) location, only to be rudely told that there is no truck, and that I need to go the Coventry road location. However there is no truck there either and they pushed me to this location. Hours and mileages wasted! I was told that I have to buy the $50 CDW. Otherwise, staff at this location was helpful.

La succursale du 266 St-Louis à Gatineau m’a donné un excellent service. Cependant, j’avais fait une réservation à l’aide de mon téléphone intelligent. J’avais donc réservé un camion dans une succursale située sur le boulevard St-Joseph à Gatineau. 2 jours plus tard je reçois un courriel pour me confirmer ma réservation mais à la succursale du 1101 St-Louis. Lorsque je me suis présenté à l’heure prévue, on m’a informé qu’il n’y avais pas de camion et que je devais aller à la succursale du 266 St-Louis. Cette succursale n’a pas pas été avisée (Évidemment...). Comme conséquence je n’ai pu avoir de camion que le lendemain , ce qui a chamboulé le déménagement de ma fille. En résumé, le service du 266 St-Louis a été excellent mais l’expérience totale avec U-Haul a été décevante.



descendre le prix de l'essence ,1,72 $le litre , c'est un peu exagéré et le frais de 30'00 $exigé pour mettre l'essence aussi , car si vous chargez ce montant pour mettre de l'essence dans le camion, comment se fait-il que le camion ne soit pas plein ?

Je ne comprends pas pourquoi qu’il fallait que je remplisse le camion à 5/8! Cela serait bien plus simple de partir avec un camion plein d’essence et revenir avec un camion plein d’essence. Si les gens revienne avec le camion pas remplie bien vous les charger au gros prix! Bien plus simple que d’avoir à figurer combien mettre d’essence pour arriver au fameux 5/8...
