I was grateful that they had a truck to rent, a friend had called me to help him out, his vehicle was broken down in the middle of a move. It was the 30th of April, early evening. I was able to get a truck and used my debit card to pay & leave a deposit. When I returned the truck I noticed that there was a bunch of garbage left by the other rentals in the sot the truck had previously been parked. I parked 1 spot over. My Drop-off time was 3:30 am. Received a phone call at 7:48 am from the rental location asking if I left the pile of garbage there. I told him no & told him the check in app would not pick up my location when I dropped off the truck. I asked when I could expect my finally receipt & refund of my deposit, he said 30 mins. He phoned back at 7:58 am asking for a CVV # for my card, I told him it's a debit card it doesn't have one, he insisted saying he couldn't give me my refund until he got it. I then went there showed him my card, he still said couldn't do it, I ask him to call customer service so he could find out how to do it. He called his boss and I don't know what was said he spoke in a different language. Still nothing. I called my bank, thinking maybe I was missing something, first they said don't give anyone your CVV # over the phone, no one should ever call asking for that. I explained my situation. They told me same thing I told the uhaul guy, I don't have a CVV code for my debit card & there is no reason why he can't do a refund. The bank interaction took 40 minutes including the time I was on hold. The guy behind the counter still wouldn't do it, I called Uhaul, spoke with an agent on speaker in front of the guy behind the counter. She said he had to call someone in our area who can walk him thru it. He did nothing. When asked if he had called for help he said yes no one got back to him. She insisted he call, but it wasn't until I asked for the area supervisors number & name, she gave that information to me I said goodbye to her. I was about to call when he actually called someone himself & was able to issue my refund. It was 12:15 when he finally did it, I had been at the store since 9 am. I will not deal with that location again.

I gave the truck back with more fuel then it came and still got charged for that this is ridiculous I want my money back for those charges

ANTHONY HThe return process while it being relatively easy to follow wasn’t really explained by the staff upon return. As such, it required several trips back to the rental to complete. Maybe a clearer idea of what was required would be helpful
