The pick up location did a great job. However the rest of the experience was terrible. I reserved my truck and trailer a couple of weeks before my move. I received a call the day before pick up and was told my truck was 45 minutes away and there was no trailer available. After 3 1/2 hours on the phone with uhaul I finally found the equipment I needed but it was an over an hour away and I had to pick it up that same day in order to get it. Why do you give a reservation? Totally unacceptable! The person that called me initially from Savannah was uncaring and short. Not a positive experience. Truck was excellent.

Overall, great experience
Shalonda RThelma’s did a great job helping me. Uhaul system is the problem. They contacted me about having to pick up in Hampton sc instead of Beaufort which was 1 hr 20 minutes drive. Reservation was at 11:00 am. I got there and they had no trucks. He contacted someone about the truck and it was not due until 2:00 pm. Uhaul customer service should have relayed that message to me but instead I wasted almost 6 hours of time driving back and forth. Uhaul needs better communication with customer.
David JThe hours were supposed to be 10am-4pm with my pickup time as 10:30am. When I got there the whole place was padlocked with no signs of life anywhere. Uhaul customer service only had the land line for the place so no one could get in touch with the owner for about an hour. He didn't have the key in either of the lockboxes so it's not like I just had to put in a code and go. Finally, he had no hand trucks available which I only found out after paying for the rental so that's money I'm out. After speaking to neighbors this is apparently a pattern of behavior for this man. Clearly, Uhaul should not be in business with him as he is a poor representative for their company. On the plus side, the customer service line was incredibly helpful in the limited capacity they had ro impact the issue.
Devan WI was scheduled to pick up the truck at 12:00. No one showed up to give me the key until 1:20. There was no apology or excuse given. Obviously this is normal behavior for this business.
