Confirmed with pick-up site that trailer could be dropped off, even though drop-off site not opened. Returned trailer 8:00 Saturday evening. Called E&C Auto Repair 256-829-2081 prior to taking and message number temporarily suspended, call later. When no return e-mail/text Monday or Tuesday when trailer to be returned called U-Haul 800 #. Took two calls and about 45 minutes to get to "agent", continually listened to message to use e-mail. However, when spoke with agent about problem, Austin quickly confirmed had spoken to manager and I would not be charged any additional fees. Call this morning from U-Haul again confirming trailer had been returned and no additional charges.

I rented a 15' truck from Uhaul location "E&C Auto Repair" for a 24 hour period. I reserved the truck online a few days beforehand and the cost was estimated to be $29.95 for the truck, $14.00 for the Safemove insurance, and $0.79/a mile. For an estimated 50 miles, I was given a price of about $84. When I came to pick up the truck, I was handed a phone by a mechanic that worked at the shop, and was speaking to an unidentified man. He was apparently driving down the road and had to pull over to process my rental using his ipad. This was a very lengthy process, and I had no paperwork to review or sign. The gentleman told me the insurance would cost $28 instead of the $14 I selected online, because the size of the truck required a $28 insurance charge. I knew this wasn't the case because I had assisted a friend just two weeks prior in renting a 20' truck from another location, and he was only charged $14 insurance, not to mention that the website allowed me to select $14 insurance. I was upset and uneasy but needed a truck to move right then and didn't have an option to go elsewhere. I agreed to my 24hr rental with the man on the phone and was then handed keys to a truck by the mechanic at the site. I picked up the truck at 4:11pm. I returned the truck the next day at 12:45pm, and the location was closed and the gate locked to the parking lot. I had to leave the truck parked outside the gate and locked it and placed the keys in a drop box. I called the location multiple times that afternoon to speak with someone but no one answered. I returned to the location around 3pm to see if anyone was there, and they were not. This was during their posted business hours. Several days went by and I did not hear anything. The next week, I called and one of the mechanics said everything was fine, they had the documents filled out for my rental but hadn't put it in the system yet, and would shortly. This was nearly a month ago. Yesterday, I was finally emailed a receipt because they processed my rental (almost a month later) and they said I returned the truck at 4:30pm and charged me 2 days rental. This is a lie. I returned the truck well within the 24 hour period, but no one was around during business hours to process my rental, and then they waited a month to charge me, and charged me almost double what I had anticipated. This is unacceptable. I should not have been forced to purchase the $28 insurance over the $14 insurance option, and I should not have been charged an additional rental day of $29.95. And I shouldn't have had to talk to someone over the phone and receive no paperwork or information regarding the rental. And it shouldn't have taken a month to process the rental return and to charge me. Very poor business practices and unprofessional.

They left the gas tank on less than a quarter of a tank. I filled it back up to where it was given to me, and then Uhaul charged me for an entire tank of gas I never used. No! I will not recommend them to anyone EVER AGAIN!!@

I dropped off truck before 11 am, 3 hours before I had to by contract. Left it with a 1/4 tank more than truck had in it when I picked it up. U haul did not reimburse for extra fuel and charged me $2.00 more dollars for 5 extra miles. Attendant at drop never got off phone, did not look at truck, ?inhad another appt and had to leave.Truck was never reported to Uhaul that had dropped it off and the truck set in same place for a week after I dropped it off. Improvements: pay me for the gas left in tank.

Address on internet was incorrect. Luckily the paperwork had the correct address. It was a holiday when I dropped off and there was no place for drop off so I left it in the driveway by the road. Not a good place to leave it but I had no choice. Also no place to leave the paperwork so I left that in the trailer

He was an hour and five minutes late opening. Did NOT inspect the trailer. Did NOT even get up out of his chair. Did not have blankets and didn't load dolly. Didn't even hook up trailer. We had to pull around behind the building where we found the trailer in sky high grass abc hook it up myself. He never checked anything. We want a refund. Made us late for our appointment and messed up things due to no padding or blankets. Total nightmare. Total disaster. Completely dissatisfied. Very bad for busy. His place was total dump.
