Happened to run into Fleet Manager while confirming hookup of auto transport. He saw me lining up to back the trailer as he was passing the location. He proceeded to turn around (with a trailer on his truck) to come and assist me with backing the truck to trailer! I had already completed, but I was floored at that level of customer service! I wouldn't have thought twice if I had seen him drive by, with a trailer in tow himself. Nice job! Now, the not so great.... The young lady checking out the trailer had problems with trying to change the drop-off location to the same place that I was already dropping a 26' truck(rented in my daughter's name, with me listed as driver) because it wasn't listed on the app, but Mr Fleet Manager told me it was fine. Now, I know this is a survey about the trailer rental, but since I was also driving one of your 2024 F650s with a scant 6k on the odometer. Super nice truck, Bluetooth, cruise, COLD AC, etc. The truck drove nice, but was a turd on any kind of incline. The niceties inside didn't make up for the lack of pulling power. As a retired diesel mechanic and truck driver the choice of a gasoline engine was questionable to say the least. Would've much rather had a choice of a diesel engine for pulling on the hills and being able to control decline using engine braking in the Mountains of GA and SC. In addition, the use of gasoline poses a logistical challenge. With a diesel truck, you can use the additional room that a truck stop has in the semi-truck fueling lanes for a much safer maneuvering situation for inexperienced drivers driving vehicles MUCH bigger vehicles than they are used to. I have a theory that a good number of the incidents involving damage to the sides reported have to do with the tight maneuvering that gasoline pumps provide versus the wider areas that diesel pumps provide. Perhaps the extra money spent on quality diesel equipment would be realized in reduction in damage to equipment and repairs. Never understood putting giant gas engines in industrial or commercial equipment, but I digress... That being said, that Will directly influence my choice should I need to rent a large truck again in the future. For small trailers and van/box combos, perhaps. But if I need a 26' again, I will most likely go with the Yellow and Blue Competition.

JONATHAN RThe girl that checked me in at the drop off location in Hiawassee, GA was not friendly and seemed annoyed that I was asking some questions. Wow! She needs to be re-trained in customer service.
