The face to face customer service was great. The U-Haul website needs work. It will let you complete your reservation, time, days, truck size, location, etc. Allow you to accept the reservation give you a confirmation number and send you one just to have someone call you not from your location to tell you that truck isn’t available, you need to go to a different location, there are restrictions with that size truck, etc. but the website allowed you to rent it. The website doesn’t give you the option to do a round trip, out of state trip. Luckily the Hobbs location and Diane especially were more than willing to help me even though they could’ve said they couldn’t do it according to the rep that called even though the U-Haul website will let you complete your reservation with no issues.

We experienced some difficulty at this location we went to drop off the dolly, so it would be easier for us to remove the stuff from the truck. When we got there the male employees were unwilling to help. We had to remove the dolly by our sleves (mind you we are female and do not know how to do this). Some how we managed to remove it. As we came back to return the truck we had much better customer service. Marlene Henry was so willing to help was helpful and friendly. We had an extra charge on our rental which was a mistake she was willing to call to get that fix. So helpful, compared to the other employees that were not willing to lift a finger to help.

The manager Donnovan is clueless. How he has been selected manager of a u haul facility is beyond belief. He lacks people skills and does not understand that without customers he would be out of a job. There was a lady that I worked with there in Hobbs, that was very knowledgeable, and she had to undo, or redo that which Donnova failed to provide. I will not rest with this complaint, it will be followed by a call to your 800 corporate complaint department, and through multi-media.

Attitudes need to improve. Professional customer service would be nice rather than just how can I help you. I requested 2 furniture dollies with my order and it showed up on the order but when I went o pick up the trailer I was told they had not had any in some time. No prior notification at all to me. I had no choice but to buy one. Poor communication and I am not sure the attendants really cared. I feel U-Haul owes me $20 for the dolly because I did my part in including it in the order but U-Haul did not do their part in delivering.

I called and reserved a truck and a furniture dolly. I told the lady on the phone that I HAD to have a furniture dolly or this move wasn't going to work. She assured me that there was one reserved for me but when I showed up, the kind manager apologized and said he didn't have a furniture dolly and hadn't seen one for over a month. So I had to buy one. I understand the purpose of having a centralized reservation system but there is a major disconnect between what a location has and what they don't have. This is frustrating for someone who is already anxious about moving already and then not having the right equipment makes uhaul look incompetent in the way they do business. I don't fault the manager I worked with, and he did try to help make other accommodations which was nice of him but it wasn't fair to put him in a difficult position like that.

There were no furniture blankets available for move. We were moving furniture, so this was extremely frustrating.

Hooked up my car which completely came lose which we did not know until we pulled to gas up in elpaso. Paid somebody to hook it up. Nobody has contacted me about my concern which was reported on the 27th. We were lucky nothing happened to the car as we drove over couple of mountain ranges.
