Ok. 1st and foremost lets address the elephant in the room. Hawaii has a limited amount of space. That correlates to vehicles, housing etc. Etc.. Now we established that their is a "Local Economy" such as your know like actual state residents who need to utilize your services. That's pretty much why this company was established here on the islands. Its super frustrating to go through a illegal eviction and then trying to find a vehicle to allow that evicted person to relocate to a new residence but cannot because all the tourists are cheap bastards who give 0 shots about anyone else but themselves. As a AMERICAN company this should never be allowed. Why not just change the name from U-haul to we-gentrify. I was fortunate enough to get this employee (forgot his name) who is a legit local who gave aloha to my wife and I and did everything's in his power to take care of us. No one helped us for 45 minutes. The Environmental charge was not communicated before the final price. Also be prepared to be charged for the vehicle, mileage, and any and every drop of fuel you use.TRINITY N.
About 1/2 mile from the the nearest bus stop. Rental truck was not ready as stated in the contract. Was about a 3 hour wait for the next available pickup truck so I settled for a van. Equipment was clean and new. Very pleased with my rental experience.Bruce K.

When making the reservation I was told that I could park my vehicle on the lot but that was not the case. The person that checked me in was very rude, told me to find parking on the street only customers that rent storage units can park there. I also was told that if I didn't return it within 6 hrs I would be charged another days rate and a late fee. I didn't get his name and he also said he's been working there for 7 years and he's always done it like that. BIG DEAL! Customer never rightDonald S.
This is probably the worst Uhaul location. The truck I was given had no gas in it luckily I made it back on fumes. I reserved it a day before and I was given a truck with barely a quarter tank of gas. Nothing in the truck really to help you when your moving stuff except a dolly. I needed ratchet straps more but again luckily I had my own. No parking, you have to park on the street and risk homeless breaking into your ride. So expensive, I was reserved for 39 dollars which they advertise but it ended up being 169 and I only had it for 2 hours. They put more gas in the truck than when they gave it to me and charged my card to fill it up. I would never recommend this location to anyone.Jeremy F.

Good customer service to be aware this location is busy. When arriving Rechelle help me wasn't busy super quick. When returning the U-Haul the next morning was busy (normally is) Derek greet me inside and was quick on giving my receipt. Just be patient for this location because it does get busy quick at times, plan ahead, also you will get great customer service. Now the truck may need alignment.FELICIA W.

Without a larger vehicle to use for my handyman business, while my truck was being fixed, I would have lost money. I expect a significant credit for putting my life in danger. The truck drove like a wreck. 1) When you apply the brakes the entire vehicle vibrates violently including the steering wheel from side to side. It swerves, brakes unevenly between the 4 wheels. When you are coming close to a stop there is a loud squeeling squeeking sound consistent with the vibration frequency coming from the front of the vehicle. This condition is consistent with a severely warped brake disc rotor. I'm guessing the one associated with front right wheel. 2) The truck howls or whines like it's wearing 4 snow tires, which is a bit scary since it doesn't have snow tires on it. Are there bearings about to collapse - who knows - it's alarming. I tried to alert you to this condition 4 ways so far a) on your website there is an email link web page. on click submit nothing happens. Your site does not accept the message. b) same problem when on the order attempting to send same message by the roadside assistance link. c) when i returned the equipment the man receiving it did not want to hear anything about the problem. He replied the brakes were perfect but acknowledged a seawater flooding issue that might affect brake operations and told me the only way to report this was by a claim after returning the vehicle. d) by this message. you know, when you call in you get sent round and round and put on endless hold waiting. Why do you make it so hard to get in touch with you? This really looks bad when one of your vehicles has not been minimally maintained - is dangerous.Robin G.

The POS system rejected my credit cards multiple times, and the onsite team blamed me for not having enough money available on my credit card. Upon further review with the Uhaul IT department, and with onsite staff unaware, an upgrade was made to the POS system that caused the credit card decline. The agent was able to process my credit card with the â€œolderâ€ system. This was very frustrating as the onsite staff repeatedly blamed me for not having sufficient funds on my credit card or perhaps I booked the reservation incorrectly. The internal uhaul IT department should have communicated this upgrade to all sites. The on site staff should not blame the customer for not having sufficient funds on all their credit cards. Not sure how to fix this, but it needs to be fixed asap.Abel R.

Derek was awesome from the start! Maybe should of told us once we hit a certain amount of miles the price changed but it's okay! The guy receiving the vehicle started off bad and sounded like a complete jerk when we asked if we could use a broom to clean the truck. . . . then he became super nice and made up for the slow start.
