Called to reserve a trailer the day before I needed it. I was told by the lady on the phone that I would be able to drop the trailer off after hours, since I was leaving on a redeye flight the next day and wouldn’t be able to return during their business hours. I showed up the next day and my reservation wasn’t in the system, even though I had a confirmation email. This employee was different than the one I had talked to the day before on the phone. Luckily there were trailers available and she made me a walk-in reservation. She also told me I could drop that trailer off that night, after they were closed and put the contract in the after hours box. Then this kid out of no where tells her I’m not allowed to drop it off after hours and there would be no room in the parking lot. I told her that I had been informed by 2 different people now that I was allowed to. This kid has no business working a job where customer service is involved as he was very rude and unperfossional. He belongs working behind the grille of a McDonald’s. Also, to top it off there was rocks/gravel in the trailer.

girl at check in was very courteous. however, another girl was doing check out and was going to overcharge me!!! when I said I was charged original 20 miles, her response was, "we don't charge miles ahead of time. " only after asking for my estimate, she reconsidered and my bill was $69, a big difference from $110!!!! so this is for girl who checked me out!! not girl checking in!

The negativity is because I made a reservation a month in advanced for a truck in Waipio, and when I went to pick it up, they did not have a truck for me. All the while, I received emails telling me of my reservation at Waipio. Luckily this Mapunapuna location had a truck, but I have never driven a truck in which the steering made me so nervous. Everyone I've talked to said they would contact the main office, regarding me complaint for my reservation, but no one has contacted me. I had to pay more because this was a further location and I ran later and had to drive through rough hour traffic at night with a truck I had a horrible time driving. I've gone to Waipio for our Uhaul for 10 years now, every year. I am very disappointed!

Firstly..YOUR COMPANY NEEDS UPGRADED COMPUTER CASH/CREDIT SYSTEM.. SECONDLY..HAVING ONE PERSON AT COUNTER WHEN THERE ARE CUSTOMERS WAITING IN LINE..IS NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICING THIRDLY..A NEW EMPLOYEE THAT WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH COMPUTER MULTI-TRANSACTIONS WAS VERY FRUSTRATING & CONFUSING AS A CUSTOMER..SHE. ALSO DID NOT APPLY MY MILITARY DISCOUNT I WAS ENTITLED TO.. THIRDLY.. Booking the vehicle over the phone was good. Upon arrival, no-one greeted me or said we'll be with you in a moment. There was a line and I can appreciate that. The gentlemen who waited until everyone was cleared out finally acknowledged me but seemed inconvenienced to provide customer service. there was no customer parking so I had pulled into the front area of the office and due to the fact he was moving at a slow pace (extremely slow), I offered to move my vehicle as to not impede traffic. He didn't acknowledge my comment so I simply moved it anyway which was about 1/4 mile away. When I returned he was not at the desk. I waited again until the lady working seemed to acknowledge that I was not getting the minimal customer service and said she would take care of me in just a second. This was about 30 minutes time already. To be honest I was about 15 minutes later than I scheduled but I don't think it would have mattered with the line that was there when I arrived. I understand it is a job that requires moving to and from the front counter to check out vehicles but this was pretty bad as far as normal service that is rendered. I was not feeling Aloha at all as is the norm in Hawai'i. The vehicle was clean but needs a tune up for sure. The gentlemen waiting on me perhaps was having a bad day, but those situations should be handled by on duty management and maybe let this individual know that he is acting in an unprofessional manner. I wasn't rude, or impatient and maintained a professional demeanor the entire time. I don't want points I simply want better service at pick up and drop off and no not like entitled but more like an expectation of service that should go hand and hand with a historic business such as U-Haul. I would recommend two individuals to work the desk and two individuals to go through vehicle checks to maximize the service received by all. Again the female working that day was polite, courteous and professional and I felt bad that she was exposed to this behavior from her co-worker. But maybe he was just having a bad day. All the best. We were not happy with the GMC van. Prefered and asked for a Ford van. Plenty of them on the lot. Were told that it would be too much trouble for UHAUL staff to give us a Ford. I pointed out a Ford parked right out front. I was told it was not available. The GMC van auto-locked our key in front and we had to use a broom stick to unlock the front door from the back which was open. No release button on key. GMC van suspension was very bouncy in the rear.

I had issues with the padlock on the roll up in the back. We couldn't get the padlock open. Called to find out what to do was told someone would come out to assist us. Three hours later someone finally showed up. He had to use a crowbar to get it open. I was disappointed, no I was pist cause 3 hours was wasted waiting for assistance. That was 3 hours of work time. Messed up my whole day. I should be compensated for there bent padlock.

I really didn't appreciate your gas policy. I traveled 54 miles. Used maybe 3 gallons of gas. Didn't have time to stop to put 3 gallons back. And was charged $30.

Before you start grabbing for personal info over the phone, how about you answer the question asked? I needed to know that you had a vehicle available BEFORE I committed to giving your contact and payment information. Treat the customer first!

Your app does not work, I tried to pick up 15 foot truck earlier in the day, but the truck was out and was told I could I could pick up at 3:30 am which would have suited my needs. Finally had to call the number on the door. Luckily Kaleo Alau was there to help me. He went above and beyond. He had to redo my whole reservation over. And got the truck at 4:30am This was almost huge problem, I do the Dec7th ceremony every year and have to be on show site before 5am. I think you folks should scrap the app until it is working. Because, I was already skeptical about it working and at 3:30am your customer should not be worrying if the rental is there. And for Kaleo Alau you folks should give him a raise.
