I reserved a 20ft truck online and confirmed location. After waiting 4 hours in line at store only to be told they DID NOT have any big U-Hauls and only a 10ft or a van. So I was stuck with a 10ft U-Haul that requires me to make many trips compared to if I would’ve gotten the 20ft it would’ve only been one trip. Then after returning the truck they still trying to charge extra fee for gas (although I returned the truck with the same amount of gas I received it in) and of coarse no discount on miles after they missed of reservation for a 20ft U-Haul.

Rep said system was down couldn't check out trucks, only check in. Wanted me to go to another location, so I waited for systems to come up but he insisted it wont be until Monday. Said he can try to do something on a company phone. He finally gave me keys to a truck that was full of mud. No inspection or look over, didn't give an odometer or gas reading; at this point I just need a truck.

I did not have a good experience. There needs to be more communication amongst staff and the computer system needs to be updated for a satisfactory experience.

My complaint is NOT with the location but with U-Haul itself and their subsidiary, Movinghelp.com. DO NOT USE MOVINGHELP.COM!! I went with a service provider that had great reviews, only to have the providers do a no-show because of "heavy rain" (where they were, not at the loading/unloading sites) and they have "bad tires" on their personal vehicle. They strung me along all day on a holiday and it was impossible to book a different provider. While the money I paid for the moving help was promptly refunded, I am out over $100 for the rental truck costs (including mileage and gas), plus another $70 because I'm unexpectedly having to pay for another month's rental storage. As someone who is struggling to survive on disability income and has to budget every penny, that $170+ represents a considerable amount of my monthly income. Most people use U-Haul because they need or want to save money, NOT waste it. MovingHelp.com refuses to do the right thing and at least comp me for the truck so that I can afford to get the moving done next month instead. They are also refusing to allow me to post a review on their website. If this is how U-Haul parent company wants their subsidiaries to do business and how they want to present themselves to their customers, I'll find another place that actually wants repeat customers.

I got charged an extra 17 bucks because the person who gave me the truck said it had more gas than what it really did but I filled it back to where it was and I got charged 17 bucks for their mistake fucking bullshit. Last time I go to this place for anything.

I was told by uhaul on the recorded phone call that i will not be charged milage and i was charged milage i had to go to 2 differant locations to get a truck i was told i was eligible for the 50 dollars guarantee than was told i wasnt and this was all recored im going to dispute the charges and i will never use nor will i referr any of my friends. Even the website dont say nothin about milage when going one way now it says intown is .99 a mile

The Manager of the location hand me a card without manual code to open a broken automated gate; my 2 hired helpers and myself spend about one hour(7:10 pm to 8:12pm) waiting for the Manager to give me the code to open the gate. As soon the Manager open the gate he left: The worse things he did to me he locked the storage #6051 knowing that I have the appropriate lock that I previously paid to him. I spent another hour to figure out how to get help no way. My helpers mad made me pay $115.00 instead $60.00 according to our previous agreement. I didn't have any choice except to use the only emptied room #6003 smaller than the one I paid. Consequently I lost my wife $600.00 king size matress old than one year but young thanks two years. I believe that U haul have to reimburse my wife matress and the $55.00 extra I paid to my helpers plus my own time and inconvenience. I want to finish my review with some things far better than the dealer #929064; I want to Congretulate the Garland dealer #48319 where I did return the truck. Thanks for considering my complaint.
