It has been a long time since I had to rent a trailer. I ordered the wrong size and when I went in to see if I can change it, the manager was more than accommodating. I am very impressed with the set up the place didn't realize Uhall was so extensive. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family.Deborah A.
This is my 2nd time using uhaul in a month ar 2 different locations. I have done many transactions with the inkster location and have had excellent service. The westland location needs training in consumer service. The management is in great need of training. I work for client relations for one of the biggest mortgage lenders and I would have been terminated if I acted the way she did and she is Management!!! They claim it is worry free to rent your U-Haul vehicle online. I would highly advise against this. While it was fairly easy to do so, they skip past all the fine print where they charge you unnecessary fees and don't explain the limits of the insurance if you purchase it. I was involved in an accident on the highway with a U-Haul truck I rented from here. Upon arrival, the man that 'checked' the truck started to harass me, and kept telling me I was going to have to pay to get it fixed even after I explained to him that I had purchased the insurance and that the accident wasn't my fault. He then sent me inside to speak with a manager who he proceeded to tell that I was SPEEDING on the highway and that it was my fault! I NEVER mentioned ANYTHING to him about speeding but the manager wouldn't listen and also proceeded to blame the accident on me. My advice: DO NOT RENT a U-Haul from this location (or any location for that matter)! They were completely unsympathetic that I was involved in an accident and refused to listen to me and made assumptions about what happened, even though I told them I had a police report to prove what happened. They also tried to void the insurance to make me pay for all the damages! The insurance is a scam and doesn't actually cover anything. Save yourself money and peace of mind, rent a vehicle from a different company.Kenneth G.

The vehicle condition was ok, however, the smoke odor inside was unbearable. Instead of texting about the existing vehicle condition, a representative can inspect with the customer before vehicle handover. Overall, the process was fairly smooth and the charges were reasonable.KARTHIKEYAN R.
Entering the store is very confusing, need more directional signs, ie. parking for initial visit, where to park for pick up & returns. Too few existing signs & the are not correct or followed. This not only creates confusion, but is a serious safety problem, for customers & employees.ERASMO ANTHONY I.
Grace periods should be allowed when renting trucks from Uhaul. Sometimes, unexpected events happen that doesn't allow for trucks to be returned in the window of time given when the truck is rented. My first reservation indicated "the day" but when that reservation needed to be modified and changed to another date the reservation was specifically entered as hours. Due to unexpected events, construction for one, I wasn't able to return the truck before the store closed but I don't think it's fair that the costs more than doubled due to the time the truck was returned. I feel, as long as the truck is returned within 12 hours of the rental, costs should not double. I believe there should be additional costs just not as much as what's being charged, especially with extra precautions taken due to Covid-19. Thank you!DEIDRA LYNN D.

The gentleman and young lady at the location where kind. The one young man even took time to walk me to my storage unit and asked if it was the right size. Once I informed him the band was too small; he exchange key for the new unit and brought it to me. Very professional at this location!Karen K.

Replace employees that are rude to customers and go back to a more streamlined check-in that doesn't require using phones to upload photos and verify information. The links wouldn't work on my phone so the lady behind the counter was rude, blamed me, and would never look at me.ANDREW MARTIN K.
Not a very good rating due to the fact that information regarding the return of the equipment was not entered into the system and I received a call 70 days later stating the equipment was not returned. This was disheartening; especially, since I have paperwork from the "above location" stating the tow dolly "was returned".Rosa G.
