Nothing comes to my mind right now.


Kind and courteous service.Truck was very clean.


Windshield was filthy. Had to clean it. Passenger side mirror did not stay in place. Had to rig something for it to stay put.

I originally was suppose to drop off my Uhal at 5 Brewer ST Glen cove NY 11542. When I went there they said that the lot was full. So then When I went there they were closed. I went back to the 5 Brewer street location and the manager refused to take my keys. He also told me that if I leave it there and it gets towed that I would be responsible. So now I'm driving all around and I am above my 145 miles. I call customer service and they give me an extra 7 miles but it will did not cover all the driving up and down That I had to do. I love 5 hours away and now I won't be returning home until 12-1am. As a customer, I feel very disrespected. I was left alone to venture out for myself. Then they charged me an extra $0.87 because I was 2 miles over. Although $0.87 is nothing. It's the principle of it. This is unacceptable. I do not recommend the 5 brewer location. Horrible.

This location was great. Only came here because my prior reservation was screwed up. Drove to A drop location at a car garage and key was not available then they sent us to Jericho.

To explain charges clearly. Insurance for the rental was added without giving me an option To use my own insurance. Not well stocked. I rented a van since no trucks available. Did not Have a dolly I could rent.

I went to pick up 10ft Moving Truck and Auto Transport Trailer at 12noon. Didn't leave until 1 PM. After hooking up the trailer to the car, no lights were working. We switched to another trailer, the same thing, no lights. The mechanic came out and said the issue is in the truck's wiring harness. By that time 45min have gone by. Finally, another staffer came out and said that they knew this truck has an issue with trailer wiring. Finally, they hooked up a different truck to the first trailer only to discover that one bake light and one turn signal was working. At that time I insisted to just let me go as is as I was already an hour late. Very disappointed in the quality of the equipment and lack of maintenance and lack of communication. I have been renting from this place many times, there is always an issue with the equipment. Specially trailers.

The truck had a few electrical issues with the radio, instrument cluster and 12V outlets not always working, the truck drove and handled fine but the gate and the ramp needed to be muscled open and closed. The employees here are excellent.

I rented a cargo van. All went smoothly.


The wait to get keys was absurd. I waited 30 mins to get to counter. Only 1 person in front of me. Total unacceptable.

So bad, I've made a list: (1) After reserving a cargo van online, I called the morning of pickup to ask the question: "is the cargo van permitted on parkways where commercial vehicles are not allowed?" I was told by Consuela that none of the uhaul vehicles is "commercial" and they are permitted on parkways. I wasn't sure about it, so I also checked with the online livechat rep who told me the same thing. Five minutes on the Northern State Pkwy, I was pulled over by a State Trooper who told me that the cargo van was an "apportionment" vehicle, NOT permitted on any parkway. (2) Despite having made a reservation, there was nothing easy about this rental. I arrived at the facility at 9:15am. There were several people ahead of me (a couple of whom wore no masks and were not asked to). The customer in front of us told us that she had been waiting for 40 minutes. Customers were lining up behind us. But there was only one staff member who did not seem to know how to do various procedures. The owner, Marco Penuela, was on the phone at the desk nearby. After a half hour, a lot of us were grumbling that the owner should deal with live customers that were waiting. He ignored all of us. (3) When our time came, Mr. Penuela asked me all the same questions that I'd answered in my online registration-- how long I needed the van, how far was I going, etc. Then he told me to take a photo of my license for him; unfortunately, my phone's camera was broken. Mr. Penuela made a fuss that he would now have to go "in the back" to get his phone to take the picture. When he returned, it took TEN minutes to take two photos. By now the people on line behind us were complaining loudly. (4) Mr. Penuela finally took me out to the van at 10:20am-- over an hour after my arrival. He told me that the tank was 3/4 full. I asked why it wasn't full-- he said, "Do you want me to take it to a gas station to fill it up?" I asked again why he was giving me a van with a tank only 3/4 full. He said he had marked it down and that I just had to make sure that I filled it back to 3/4 full. Upon my return that afternoon, I put 3 gallons of gas in, and the gauge was back at 3/4. The Uhaul fellow told me, 'You're a little short with the gas. It's supposed to be full." I showed him the paper that Mr. Penuela had given me with the 3/4 tank indicated. The fellow looked at the gauge and said, "It's still a little under 3/4." I asked how I could possibly fill it exactly to 3/4. He then simply wrote that the tank had the right amount of gas. (5) The store itself was not clean and no one enforced the social distancing rules. One guy without a mask kept wandering around nearly bumping into everyone. Another guy kept moving from front to back of the store, coughing--and again, no mask. (6) When I told Mr. Penuela that he'd made me feel like a 2nd class citizen, he said, "You are giving me attitude." I told him that nearly everyone in the store had been protesting about the same things, he said, "That's wh


I wish you can constantly have an auto transport available at the place that I initially reserve it at.

U Haul should have newer trucks. The truck was very old. Even the A/C wasn't working. At 40 miles per hr the truck was wobbling. It's for the safety of its customers.


Marcus and his team where professional, friendly and one of the best Uhaul locations I have rented from. I have rented in Buffalo, and Houston and Indianapolis. They definitely deserve a raise, bonus or profit sharing or all of three. Sincerely, Thom
