For starters the gas tank was at 1/4 of a tank, not 3/8 as stated. Trailer was empty but Dusty from a hasty cleaning job. The power steering on this trailer was nonexistent. I would have switched vehicles had customer service been more accommodating. The line was far too long and I was already running behind schedule from having to sweep off the ramp that had Sheetrock remnants all over it from a previous contracting job I assume.

the Location asked us to drop off in another location but didnt talk to the new location. This cause some confusion and the staff on Marin Bldv in Jersey City were mean in the way they treated me when I dropped off the cargo van. Hope they can better their attitude.

I have rented 3 trucks in 2019. One Van in 2020 & Another Van in 2021 at same location. I experience a truck with slight maintenance issues which was taken care of when returned. My overall experience with cleanliness esp customer service is outstanding . Even with this Covid -19 problem. Workers all wearing Mask. Vehicle Super Clean & social distance performed by workers. Workers should get a rewarded for there superior dedication. Picking up & returning vehicles was as easy as making a phone call. It's "U" the workers that allowed us to "Haul" our belongings. I thank you for risking your life for making mine better in these hard times

The lady over the counter had 0 interest in doing her job. She was not polite and has expressions on her face that made me look awkward. The guy who was working outside was very kind and helpful. Probably they need to switch jobs.


Make sure the customer checks the equipment ordered before they leave premises. However, this location is very customer service oriented. They are very accomodating and make your experience as a new customer to renting storage space as easy to complete as possible. Great job!

Excellent service.


Reserved a 15' truck Saturday morning for 1:30PM. Drove 15 minutes over there and the process was very easy. The truck was outside, did a quick walk around and was on my way. Simple and easy. Will definitely use again if need be.


Milage readying was difficult for me to find it in the truck, and the website keep saying that I was entering a lower milage number .


Truck is not good is properly is not working for the truck and he got a charge for the extra for the gas but they got us some thing problem for the truck then I come by again my work is not properly

The process from beginning to to ending was seamless. The mobile app is the best way to go. I starting the rental application on the mobile app and I was able to pick up the vehicle I requested without any in person contact. This was awesome. Great experience overall. Only suggestion, include a section in the online/app vehicle drop-off process/questionnaire; that includes a “rented gear returned” verification. I left the 1 rented dolly in the trailer as instructed, however, I wasn't able to include proof via picture etc. Everything was vehicle related but nothing offered for rental equipment. That said, the original rental agreement receipt (provided at pick-up location), simply states to verify that all additional equipment was left behind with vehicle/trailer. If you opt not to, you can ask the drop-off location attendant to verify for you, for an additional $20. There's no other option, if the renter conducts the drop off after operating hours. It's possible I overlooked any details provided but it kind of feels like this is by design, to potentially make a quick and easy additional $20.

The location is the only issue - it's the busiest junction in NJ - you can be 100 yards away but still 20 minutes from the entrance! Apart from that, all good

Move the truck to the front if you know it's leaving that morning. Was in the back. Otherwise it was a great experience!

I left a set of bungee cords that I purchased from the UHaul Store and left them inside the truck after I dropped the keys in the drop box. I called early the next morning and a representative from the 1 800 number said they would leave message for them to take out the cords and place them to the side so I could pick them up later that day. When I got to the place, NOBODY knew what I was talking about and I was told to ask somebody in the yard to see if they were still in the truck. Not only was the truck not there, but my bungee cords were not found or replaced. Everything else about my rental was fine.

You can Recruit better (competent) staff. My uhaul experience was a fiasco between the Jersey City and North Bergen locations. Just horrible. I'm talking to your reps on the phone confirming and finalizing details regarding storage, truck and dollies that were needed for my move and day of, everything was wrong just wrong. The truck I supposedly reserved was NOT available, but prior to all of that I was receiving too many phones from your reps at both location confirming but yet screwing up my reservation in the end. Your process in which to enter and exit your North Bergen location is a daunting task. First experience with Uhaul and it was NOT GOOD to say the least. GET IT TOGETHER! Signed Dissatisfied Customer
