The location isn't ideal, and access is easy to miss. Otherwise the service was good and the staff member who assisted us was great. We booked online and apparently a rental "day" is 5 hours which is a pretty short day. We did get the "day" extended without any issues though.

I arrived to a customer returns in a construction site that was a sea of mud. I went inside and the gal ignored me while eating her breakfast muffin and complaint about what a tough day it had been so far. Then she helped another customer who came in after me. NO HELP with unhitching the trailer in a sea of mud. She was too busy helping the guy that came in AFTER me.

To drop off your truck I was sent to 3 different locations in Kamloop, one stop no staff present, second stop the attendant was rude and would not take the truck, the third place they didn’t want to take the truck but I refused to drive it any further. Not a happy camper.

Will not use uhaul again. Different stories about what equipment was rented despite what contract said. Exorbitant pricing for one way trips if fees were charged correctly, which i doubt, and uhaul unwilling to look into it. Said price is price too bad. Charging over double for one way rentals is extreme and ridiculous. Especially for a company known for products that are constantly moving from one location to another around the continent after use. Trailer we rented was from Idaho but we paid twice the regular day rate to tow it only a fraction of the distance compared to where it was from. Will never recommend Uhaul to anyone for any services. Clerk had the nerve to ask me to use tgeir storage facilities after not being willing to even try to sort out my issue.

Gas had been siphoned from the trucks , therefore the truck we initionally rented wouldn’t have made it to the gas station. I do however give credit to the two young people working the to problem solve and eventually get us on our way.

Uhaul system down had to wait for 30 min. Then I was giving wrong truck and had the go back inside and redo contract. Also tank was only 1/4 full so I had to fuel before use. Overall bad experience.

Apparently this is a larger issue with the entire company, on the last sat of the month the computer system keeps crashing or is ridiculously slow. I pre-signed in online and arrived before opening to avoid waiting, because it advertises that you will save time, approx 30 min. But it still took over an hour to complete the transaction and release the truck. I finally asked, again, for the person to call someone on the phone directly which finally worked. There are those of us who have to for pay for movers because we don't have enough people to help for free, and it is an hourly rate. So, when we are held up waiting for the truck, they are sitting, across town, at the house waiting. Uhual is a big company. It is your business to know that the end of the month is a busy period and prepare for it and to also know that moving is one of the biggest stressors for your customers. I have moved a lot over the years and this isn't the first time I have been let down or massively inconvenienced by your company. I finally decided to write to you about it. When a business runs this poorly, I can only assume that you are still in business because of lack of competition. I purposefully chose you because I thought you were a better company than budget, but I will have to re-evaluate that assumption. I hope your company re-thinks its commitment to your costumers, respecting that we are paying to have a truck in a timely matter. And have more pride in being a business we can rely on during one of the most stressful events in our lives. good luck!

It took over an hour to pick up the truck...the computer system wasn't working properly. Felt sorry for the staff since everyone was getting very impatient. Big line ups. Also couldn't return unused boxes without a receipt?!?! During a move, who kèeps a receipt? The boxes have Uhaul written all over them, where else would we get them?!? A store credit is crap, when are we going to use that?

While the vehicle was clean and appeared well maintained when we picked it up, en route home the next day during rush hour on the freeway in Vancouver, the driver's side windshield wiper came loose off the arm during a heavy dowpour. I was forced to pull into the centre median and exit the vehicle to repair it. It was a serious safety issue but visibility made it impossible to continue driving. Again the blade came loose a few miles later and again I was forced to exit the vehicle during heavy traffic and rain to make a more permanent fix. The rest of the 8 hour trip was stressful as the wiper blade only allowed for partial visibility during heavy rain at night. The local location offered me a $50 rebate on a $1,000.00 fee. Considering the safety concerns, this was not a satisfactory offer.

The representative did forget to give the blankets I ordered before I left so I had to make a return trip which added and extra hour onto my trip but otherwise the service was good.

One agent rented me a pickup truck (for a daily rental), then after I had rented it, a second agent told me I had to exchange it for another to allow them to fix a rock chip in the original pickup. This took 15-20 min extra time that I could have been using the truck. The final bill for about 4 hours (77 km) use was $82.98 (plus gas), due to all the add-on charges not listed on the "$19.95/day" advertised price. A competitor in Kamloops (Enterprise) has a flat rate and would have cost me $86 for 200 km. The $0.45/km fee at UHaul would have cost me 45% more ($124.95) for 200 km. I'm very disappointed, and feel the "$19.95/day" advertisement is deceptive, in light of all the add-on charges.
