We were charged an extra day and the GM told me, to paraphrase, i’m SOL. We moved from Nebraska to Indiana and tried to anticipate any conflicts. Originally we were supposed to close on our home Friday, then it was changed to Monday. Due to fault on the Sellers end, we did not get to move into our home until Wednesday. I understand this is no fault of yours but it is also no fault of ours. We were able to return the uhaul on the day it was due, just not at the assigned time. I only asked for a little slack. We are currently struggling with the seller regarding the actual condition of our home. I can’t very well add this to the list, not that we are having luck on that end either.

Past U-haul experience has always been good, this one was not. I request a 20ft truck due to tight space constraints where I would be loading and was given a 26ft truck. The inside of the truck was dirty and truck was low on gas, so first stop was a gas station. Upon reaching the loading destination, I found the loading ramp was missing. I called the office and was told they knew about it, but it wasn't written up and no other trucks were available. I was offered an $80 deduction which was never applied to my card. After an hour + delay and spending $60 on ramps, we loaded the truck and carefully backed out. Power steering only worked if truck was rolling even when engine rpm was increased. The rattle in the front suspension made for a stressful 90 minute trip thinking the truck would fail at some point. The truck was returned to the recommended drop off location the same day (which was closed) and I attempted to use the truck return app but it failed to find my location, so I called the original rental office and asked them to show the truck was returned, since I didn't receive any notification I can only assume it wasn't done. The following day I was contacted by Steve at the Kokomo office and he offered a $100 refund after I mentioned having to spend $60 on ramps. So, only getting $40 off my total bill isn't much compensation for what I was required to deal with if I wanted to get this move completed. Better training for staff and actually checking the vehicles would be a good start on improvements.

Customer service. When picking up the vehicle, the employee seemed bothered by my arrival. When I returned to turn the vehicle in, my brother arrived at 6:45 to give me a ride home. He said lights in the building were shut off at 6:50. I pulled into the lot at 6:57 and watched the employee walk to the door and lock it. The transaction wouldn’t have taken long to complete, as I only had the rental pick up truck for maybe an hour.

Rented a truck 2 separate Saturday's, truck wasn't there either time, the first time I got to move all of my things from one 10 foot truck to another exact same 10 foot truck in the UHaul parking lot. I've literally paid $550 to Uhaul, ended up with 3 truck rentals instead of just 1, that isn't including the over $100 I spent on gas. As of tomorrow it would have been 2 weeks ago that I received a VM from the "DM" stating I could call him back or he would call me back. I've left no less than 4 messages for him to return my call, I have emailed him twice now and thus far I am yet to receive a call back. They did although find the time to charge me for another day of rental even though I was definitely at Uhaul before the 24 hours. Never in this process has anyone apologized, even when I simply called customer service to find out if the first $335 that I was charged was correctly they couldn't explain it. It almost takes an act of Congress to even talk to anyone at the store, it always just rolls over to the call center and their best solution to talk to the store is to keep calling every few minutes until you get the store. Worst experience ever.

After waiting 45 minutes while they cleaned it, we finally told them we just had to go and it didn't matter what shape the truck was in. Parking space is lacking.



They are very unprofessional and rude to the customers that need their assistance to rent their products .This completely was a unpleasant experience for me and my family called 4 days to receive my refund at that time talked to four different employees that had four different reasons not to return our previous deposit we put to reserve the truck and we also returned the truck back then same day we rented out Talked to the manager he said he took another fifteen dollars back because of the gas was not put back in truck properly and was very rude to a veteran that had trouble reading and comprehend the proses of the service when we returned home we realized that she had him sign a separated paperwork but didn’t explain what he signing smh so when we returned home and read the paperwork I seen that we were charged insurance fee called the company told them what the paperwork said she refused to give us the option of having them take the insurance off as a fee called the corporation complaint hotline made a report about the situation and was told the district manager of the Indiana region would be contacting me about my experience so I’m requesting my full deposit back never use this company scam artist

We called and reserved a 15’ U-Haul with our credit card and then we went to pick it up we were informed that we did not have a reservation and that all they had was a cargo van and they didn’t know what happened. So we had to use a cargo van to move our house. It’s ridiculous that we reserved the U-Haul truck with a credit card and they said no we don’t have any record of that. So what happened with our credit card information?
