Unable to park returned truck, charged 25 dollars for 5 miles over, no after hours

Customer service inside the office is very good. Outside is another story. Trucks and trailers being dropped off completely block access to people arriving to pick up. Finding someone outside is time consuming and problematic. Trucks parked out by the road (I assume for advertising purposes) restrict the space to leave the parking lot by half. A large truck has to squeeze through to get on to the road.

The lack of parking and poor customer service complicated my experience when moving is already a stressful event. While I will continue to use Uhaul services, I will never return to this particular location again.

Front brakes squealed, right high beam headlight out, low beam headlight too low on the road making it difficult to drive at night, inside cab light doesn't come on when you open the driver's door, having the hand truck and blanket bag inside the truck take up valuable inside real estate for things I want to move and should not be included in the truck unless the customers specifically requests these items. A customer knows enough if they need a hand truck or blankets.

The directions from Google take you thru a racetrack until you really get lost and then it reroutes. This navigation error is straight from your website. But, otherwise all was well. Maybe some signage to alert people not to rush to drop keys and lock up because they need pics for proof.

The truck was left open and had dirt and trash on the ground when I picked it up. The staff had accidentally cancelled my reservation and I had to wait over a half hour just to get another truck.

I reserved a truck 3 days in advance for 10:00am pick up . It took an hour to get out of the lot. You would think that if they had that many trucks reserved they would have more people on duty. It took 15:00 minutes just to get my truck from the back of other non rented trucks and customers parking their cars in front of the rental trucks. Staff was very nice , truck was clean and in good condition, but the location stinks.



Be more considerate of the renters situation being that they reserved equipment that was not there and not have them wait and then drive to another location ( which adds mileage and takes away gas for the purpose of renting) to pick up equipment that could have easily been dropped off.

The only issue I experienced was after returning the vehicle during the inspection. We kept a few blankets to protect glass items that were put in storage and the attendant told me we would have to pay $20 per blanket. I have never experienced that before and was shocked at the price being charged for one blanket. The attendants only response was to either go get the blankets or pay $20 each.

This was a horrible experience. This was the 3rd time I’ve used Uhaul and it was the WORST. I have called customer service to voice my issues but have not gotten through. This location was my saving grace and I was grateful to have them come to my rescue. But it did not make up for the issues that lead me to them to begin with.



No one helped me with the pick up of my truck. I was told were the truck was I had to go out to find it. I ask on of the workers outside to help me he just point that it was in row T. I was told to check the gas and if is not right to come back in to tell them. I was taken back but I was under a time constraint so I just left. When I came back to turn the truck in I was informed I was given the wrong truck the Mileage they changed me was incorrect. They were very rude. Not helpful. I have been trying to call the Laurel Office and the Corporate Office and no one has picked up. I would appreciate a call back in reference to my issues. I have rented truck to move things in the past and have had great service. This was a very upsetting experience. Sincerely, Shannon Wingfield
