Code to the key box was not given. I was lucky the attendant was at the store. Drop off location did not answer the phone.
I returned the truck to the location earlier tha scheduled. The person said everything was fine and my receipt would emailed. The next day still no email. Next two days in getting texts to return the truck, and card was charged 3 different times.
I had the rental scheduled for Saturday and received a phone call from U-Haul on friday stating that the location I had selected didn't have the size I required so they offered a different location and set up the time for me telling me I could pick up as early as 7AM. When I got there at 7:15 for my 7:30 pick up appointment the man behind the counter could not speak English. Around 7:45 a younger man showed up to check me out and get me my rental and informed me that they did not offer pick ups until after 9AM. Then he offered me a discounted deal if I were to drop off to the same location instead of what I had selected, I agreed only if he was going to be there or someone I would be able to understand and he reassured me that he would be there to accept the return later in the day. When I returned at 3PM he was not there, the original man that did not speak any English was there but left once he saw me and the other man behind the counter also did not speak English. Eventually I made my way to the package store next door to see if anyone could translate for me and the guy working there checked me out. The whole process was completely unprofessional and frustrating. I had people waiting to help me move furniture due to the schedule that U-Haul set for me. I would suggest not having pick up or drop off locations where customers can't understand the workers at all.
I wasn't sure if the guy in the store got the key or if I was suppose to do an online drop off. It wasn't clear at this location.
Everything about this experience was great.
There was a handcart and blanket that was zip tied into the truck wasting space. If you broke the zip ties you were charged an additional $10 for the blanket and $7 for the handcart. Also, uhaul should make accommodations to have a truck brought closer and the size the customer request.
Staff was very nice and I was able to drop off the truck quickly and be on my way with a receipt.
Keep clean vans and make sure each van is properly checked over and is safe to be taken out! Don't lie to a customer just to get them to use your vehicles and out of your hair. At drop off, again no one went over the vehicle with us to make sure we left it in better conditions we received it. Kind of confusing as to where we exactly do drop off, it was a convenient store.
The pick up was supposed to be in New London. We had to drive 20 miles to pick it up from a different location. They did not provide me with a contract. I didn't sign any thing and they did not ask for my drivers license. The truck was dirty. No moving supplies available. I have not received a receipt, though my credit card was charged.
Individual did not understand return process. Had to do it via email.
Took a long time at pick up location. 10' truck with less than 2k and both doors don't close right. Could not go over 60 mph it was all over the road, swaying. Rough riding truck poor suspension. Expensive trip almost $500.for 232 mile ride with 2 rooms of furniture and boxes.
Although setting up the reservation was easy, someone called the day before we were to pick up the truck at a remote site over 10 miles away from the original. It was too later for us to cancel so we proceeded to pick up the truck. The first truck was missing a gas cap. Glad I caught it so I would not be held responsible for it. They did reduce the truck cost I I would return it to them but, of course this cost us additional fuel to and from. When I returned the truck they couldn't find me in the system. So overal, not UHaul's finest hour.
I never received a dollie and charged for insurance when I said I did not want it.

The person who checked in the truck had to call someone for instructions on what he had to do. After several minutes, he manage to inspect the truck and produce a receipt. The location is a convenience store that does rentals, on the side.
Staff didn't know even had trailer on site but it worked out and they were very very polite!
My son collected the Uhaul but commented that that staff were not very friendly or helpful. The Uhaul had not been swept and so we had to take care of cleaning it out before we could start listening adding and there were someone's old clothes in the cab
To begin, I reserved the 10' truck for a 12 hour window from 7am-7pm. When I arrived at the pick-up location a hand-written sign on the door stated they wouldn't be opening until 8am. According the the Uhaul scheduling office the business owner had not changed his hours with Uhaul either. The business did not open until 8:13am and I was not able to leave with the Uhaul until 8:44am. The woman that assisted me at the location was un-trained in the Uhaul system, not knowing how to access systems and necessary functions of setting up a reservation. The Uhaul was dirty, with sand and debris in the back storage area as well as dirt, debris and trash in the cabin. I told her I was not taking the Uhaul with garbage in it and she rolled her eyes, took 2 water bottles out from under the driver's seat and said "you're all set now". I returned the Uhaul early, and again the agent assisting me in my return was un-trained and again had to call the store owner to get all the information. He then proceeded to charge my credit card without informing me and what I was being charged for, or what the amount was going to be. When reviewing the receipt I noticed that I had been charged for mileage that I did not put on the truck. Out-Mileage stated on my receipt was 37 miles less than what it actually was when I took the truck so when returning the truck I was charged for those 37 miles and the 23 miles I had put on the truck. I showed him my receipt from my pick-up earlier in the day and he reviewed it and still refused to issue me a refund. He told me to come back when the owner was present. This experience was by far the worst truck rental, equipment rental, any rental experience I've ever had. This location doesn't maintain their equipment, they are in-educated the Uhaul systems, and they use the truck for personal use and then force un-knowing customers to pay for the mileage they put on the vehicle.
service was speedy and worrisome free. there is not really too much to improve on, because everything was excellent.
Great service. The extended hours and willingness of the manager to accommodate customers is a real plus.

Very unprofessional, & a uhaul worker wasn't even working when I dropped off the uhaul, Waited over an hour to pay for the uhaul and could not understand the worker at the establishment as his English is not that great.
