You need to fix your app! For pick up, we had to call and talk to a customer service rep because we weren't getting next steps and instead got a message to call. Jordan was fantastic, I would give her 10 stars if I could! When we uploaded the pictures and everything, we did not get a lockbox code and had go inside the location, fortunately someone was there who could access the keys. For drop off, the app said to drop off the keys in the drop box BEFORE the indicator to go to the next step and we again had to go inside to get someone to retrieve the keys. It was pouring rain when I was trying to take the pictures of the truck, my finger slipped on my wet phone and boom, all the pictures were deleted and I had to take them again, in the pouring rain. We purposefully selected a different retail location so we could have a retail experience instead of self serve and were automatically switched to a different location and then were automatically switched to self serve the day we picked up the truck. The only reasons I would consider renting from Uhaul again are 1. Jordan and her stellar customer service and 2. being able to hire XP Moving (Will and Austin, who were great) at the same time as renting a truck. Your app and self service process need some serious work.

BEWARE!! Highly recommend using a different U-Haul location (or even a different company in general) Rented a 15 foot box truck. Had a 13 mile trip to destination and then 13 miles back. Which I just rounded up to 30 total miles. I paid the $15 insurance and then the normal .89 cents per mile. I put $10 back in the tank as that was enough to get back to where it was fuel wise. I drop the truck off, offer to give my fuel receipt and pay for the truck right there. Was told they would email me my invoice to pay. However instead of sending me an invoice to pay, they went ahead and charged my card and just sent me an invoice. To top that off my card was charged an additional $26.95 for a 5 gallon fuel charge. (Which means I paid almost $40 in fuel for a 30 mile round trip. ) I called the owner and he acted confused. Said he would call me back to figure this out. However he never called me back. These are the places you want to avoid at all cost. They will screw over their customers to fill their own pockets. USE SOMEBODY ELSE SO YOU’RE NOT IN THE SAME SITUATION!
Matthew JBug spatter all over windshield, and a piece of molding by driver window was flapping. Other than that, it was a great experience and the people at pickup/dropoff were very nice.
PATRICIA PJust better preventative maintenance on the vehicles. This one’s got a door that doesn’t like to shut all the way, and the airbag needs to be serviced on it.
JEREMY BPut mounts in the trucks for a phone so you can use google maps safely.
