I don’t think I’ve had a worse first experience with a company. This location was unprepared, could not speak English, could not help me for 15 minutes because they had a customer in the store, and told me that they were not able to help me because they didn’t work for U-Haul. Then when I get back, the app is slow and broken to the point where it’s asking me to submit 20 different things and cause a 30 minute return.

The vehicle I paid for was "not properly staged" so I had to switch to something that was the wrong size with worse gas mileage. Took 30 minutes to get someone on the phone to help. The gas station is terrible and unhelpful. Check engine light came on.
Aimee CThe reason does not have to do with the proprietor. She was nice and helpful. But a much larger and hopefully more customer friendly location was about the same distance. This Southland location did not have the blankets we were sold and I had to drive there anyway. Also, this entire rental was app based. We should have been told when we ordered the truck. Also, the truck is extremely difficult to drive (no safety back up cameras, few driver assist features, etc. ). It got the job done but it was no picnic.
Brenda GService was so bad and it was self help only. The site frequently broke and drained the battery on my phone till it died so that I could not even finish returning the van without going home to charge it. Incredibly dysfunctional
