When the truck was picked up at this location the check engine light was on. When the attendant was asked about the check engine light, her response was "it's just fine, probably only needs maintenence," our trip was 460 miles to our destination! There was no other truck available at the time. Infact, the location in gladewater Tx. Did not have a 15 ft truck, so UHAUL asked us to get a truck from this Longview Tx location. The truck ran and sounded like it was going to fail during the whole trip. The truck ran very rough and sounded like a tank. Many prayers later and with the Grace of God, we did make it safely to our destination. I would NOT recommend this location at G & J Services inLongview Tx to anyone!

MARGIN PPulled U-Haul trailer for over 1400 miles without a glitch.
STEPHEN SThe employees at both the Marshall Avenue location and at G and F were incredibly friendly and helpful. However, when I booked the reservation, I was told that someone would contact me a day or so before the reservation date with a time and location for pickup. I never got a call- or a text or an email. So, on the day we were to pick up the trailer, I called around 11am to inquire. I was told that we had missed our pick up time, which had been 10am. I asked her to call the location to see if they still had it, which they did, so we dropped everything and rushed over. When we got there, they told us our pick up time was 2pm. He was very kind and let us take the trailer. When we got home and attempted to do the verification with license plate, it showed that they had given us the wrong size. We had to call and work it out on the phone. SO, although everyone was very friendly, it appears that your reservation system has multiple flaws, and that one hand doesn't know what the other is doing, which causes frustration and inconvenience for your customers.
LEAH HThis was a diesel repair shop. The equipment was dirty, trash and debris in the cabin, the bay was not swept. No amenities to choose from and additional equipment was left in the truck which was not ordered. I will never return to this location. Very disappointed. 😞
