Location is located in an extremely dangerous area of town. The gate is shut during normal business hours and you have to call a woman, who I assumes works with Uhaul, to come out and open the gate. So until she comes, you have to sit out on the street and wait. This area has the highest concentration of homeless people in the city, which made my experience absolutely horrible. I was forced to go to this location because they did not have the equipment I needed at the location closer to my house.

The neighborhood was a little seedy, but this was where the van I needed at the time I needed was located which was 14 miles from my home...Going here cost me extra mileage...but the van function as needed and the service was professional!

QUITE SIMPLY HORRIBLE. The van wasn't ready, when produced it was dirty and had no gas--none, just enough to get me to a gas station. I've been going to UHaul for years, with quite mixed experiences, some very bad. This was the worst.

This was easily the most frustrating, disgusting, and inconvenient auto or truck rental experience I have ever had. U-Haul communicated badly. I arranged a one-day rental. When the U-Haul agent called to confirm she told me it was for two days. With my explaining it four times, she could somehow not understand that we needed to change it to one day. When I arrived at the rental location one-and-a-half minutes from my office I was told there was no van available and that I would need to go to another location 20 minutes away. They sent me literally to Skid Row with homeless encampments right up to their yard's locked gates. Signage was so minimal I wasn't sure I was at the right place. The agents we're in a dirty, cluttered office which stank heavily of cigarettes. I was given a van so dirty that the agent agreed to write on my receipt that it was impossible to tell if the van was scratched or dented due to the dirt. When the agent heard me complaining to U-Haul customer service she then offered me the "other fan" which was cleaner. I was now in a rush so I took the dirty one. I got inside and found sticky dried soda on the center console, a box from a beard trimmer, and empty soda bottles on the floor between the seats. Because the neighborhood was so nasty, and because there was no place to park, my driver could not leave his far to come inside. So, I was unable to get him signed on as a driver. This caused a logistical nightmare that caused me to lose one of my helpers, and caused me to have to drive the van to my home 70 miles away instead of returning it that same day and avoiding gasoline and mileage expense. When I returned the van their yard was improperly arranged to accept any more vehicles. One of the fellows at the facility was trying to move trucks around to allow more room. He was not a talented driver and was thus taking a very long time at it. They were doing this before signing me out, probably for fear that if they left their gates open that the "Walking Dead" on the streets would cause damage to their vehicles. I had to ask that they check me out before delaying me further.

One of the employees of the facility was profane with the other in front of me. The truck was dirty and had little gas in it. It’s located in the heart of skid row and the parking lot had 2 big pit bulls lose and barking at me.

I would like a refund on my order. This was the worst experience of my life!!!! First Uhaul relocated my cargo van I reserved to down town LA, very far from me. AND it was in a super bad area. I felt afraid for my life. When I arrived the place was super dirty, smelled like poop and had a gas leak somewhere. There were flies and stray dogs barking at me. Please look up the location and pull them as an authorized uhaul dealer. The lady didn't know what she was doing and tried overcharging me 5 times until I told her I was right and she was wrong. NEVER AGAIN!!! After that experience I hate uhaul and demand a refund!!!!

Would not recommend this location to anybody and will be calling customer service. The associates name was priscilla. Van was very dirty and dusty. I asked questions and she had no answers

Someone was sleeping on the floor in the Uhaul Office. The lights were off. Probably because the guy didn’t want to wake the homeless guy sleeping on the floor. He gave me the Uhaul van with zero gas (gas light was on). Upon returning the van. He said he’s only going to refund $26 worth of gas... I spent $80 just to fill up 3/4 of a tank and returned it with 1/2 tank. That’s a rip off.

The proprietor of this UHaul location, Ayad Wahibi, is beyond unprofessional and approaching a borderline criminal. To start, he was extremely rude in his initial interaction with me. He asked me to sign the rental agreement including your optional insirance which I declined in my initial reservation. When I brought this to his attention he then gave me the correct agreement to sign stating that I declined the coverage. We then went outside so that I could receive the vehicle which he just handed over without examining it for existing damage. When I pointed this out to him he annoyedly allowed me to walk around to look for damage. I then spotted some minor damage on the passenger side view mirror which he refused to acknowledge with one of your damage stickers. He then hopped in the truck to repark it threatening to RUN ME OVER with the vehicle. He said he was reversing the transaction and no longer renting the vehicle to me because he'd had a long day and I was being "dramatic." I followed him back inside to wait for a receipt showing that he did in fact refund the charges. When I received the receipt, I noticed that he did in fact charge me initially for the coverage I declined. Now on the receipt I just received via email accompanying this request for feedback, I notice I'm being charged $0.81 for 1 mile of usage on the truck. I generally loathe having to rent UHauls but this is by far the worst UHaul experience I've ever had. Never rent from this location if you have the choice. It's located in the epicenter of skidrow and the owner's mentality reflects his environment.

This location is AWFUL and should come with a warning prior to booking. It dangerous and for that reason alone I would never book at this location again. However, the staff that was there (I believe his name is Ayad) was very kind and professional. He went the extra mile and walked me to my car after I dropped off the rental because he knew I didn't feel safe. He is by far the best U-Haul employee I've ever dealt with. Thank you kind sir!

I was going to return by 5.oo pm on same day,drove only 4 miles. called excuse for 10 minutes late (No answered),Because they said will be closed 5 pm on Nov 3.I returned next morning 9.00 am. They charged 2 full days(Insurance,daily late). I am very disappointed on U-Haul. drove 4 miles charged 2 days. At the beginning on signing contract ,They told me that if I couldnt return by 5.00 pm ,additional charge for couple hour(agreed),but the other staff said ,automatically charged 1 full day.

When my husband went to pickup the reservation, they said they didn't have the vehicle. They then said that they wouldn't be able to match the price I reserved it for online. And they then said that they couldn't give us a larger vehicle for the same price, since they for some reason didn't have the van we reserved days before. It felt like we were getting scammed by them, as they wanted us to cancel our reservation and they'd give us a truck for a lot more. I was super upset, as I wasn't on site to fight them to give us a larger vehicle at the reservation price, since they fucked up. After a half hour, my husband finally got a cargo van (they had forgotten to check it back in), but they stressed that we somehow got a discount price online that they couldn't match in the future??? I didn't get a promo price, I just got the standard Cargo Van rental rate. Oh, BTW, I was renting the car for like 3 hours, so all this stress and bullshit for a three hours rental? I'll go to another car rental company next time.

This location is in a bit of a seedy area of downtown LA behind a mini mart that is a bit dirty and awkward. I work a couple of blocks away and didn't even feel comfortable standing in this location by myself especially after dark. However the gentleman I dealt with was very nice and accommodating. I do wish he had given me more information about the additional charges when I picked up the vehicle. I know the information is in the fine print of the paperwork, however anytime I've rented a car in the past, the associates typically review mileage and gas fees with you when you pick up the vehicle.
