Very disappointed with my overall experience. This location was said to open at 9am I was there at 8:45. The opener did not arrive till almost 10am. Very unprofessional and very short with us. We asked for some kind of discount since we had been waiting so long as well as still having to pay our movers who were waiting on the clock. Will not ever be returning or referring anyone.

The guy was late. Meanwhile I was paying two workers $15 an hour. I was second in line. Both of us has a 9 o’clock appointment but by the time he got there and situated the trucks and then let us in and then did the paperwork it was five till ten. The issue I had was I made a reservation online and was told to pick up a 20 foot truck in new work I arrive and the location is closed I called the 800 number and was told they had a reserve truck for me on Kirtner Avenue so I go and I was told that there was nothing for me that I should know better and should have reserved something a week in advance when I try to explain my situation he said he did not care about my situation but only what was showing in the computer I then went to center and then try to find a U-Haul for me to move

We called customer care for help on the drop off location she looked up my account and told me that I need to take the truck 2 hours away from the destination i was moving too. She said we that's where it says to take it she refused to give me the address of the closest drop off location to where my destination was. She told me if I had a address she could look it up for me.... what.... if I had the address I wouldn't be calling you.... really not great customer service from the 800 number!!!!

I ordered online, an appliance dolly, moving boxes, flat screen tv boxes, rape & blankets. When I got there, the guy was gathering blankets to put in the truck. He said that everything else was already loaded, except for appliance dolly, which was unavailable. I asked “The boxes & tape, too?” He said “Yes, it’s all there.” When we arrived at our first destination to pick up multiple small items in need of boxes, we realized there were no boxes or tape. At that point we were 2 hours away. I called Uhaul Los Banos back. The phone rang & rang with no answer. After my 3rd attempt a woman finally answered. She was in the middle of a yawn as she answered. I told her the situation & asked for it to be resolved. She said a manager would call me back. After waiting around for 30 min to find out if they could get boxes to me, through another store, with no call back, I called again. I was told the same. I told her I would just go buy more boxes at the store but want a refund. Again I was told she would have someone call me. Several hours later, no call. I called back REPEATEDLY for several hours during my 5 hour answer.i started to think they were avoiding my call and told my son to call from his phone. Sure enough they answered! When he told them that he was calling for me, they put him on hold FOR 30 MORE MINUTES, until he finally gave up & hung up. During the trip I realized that I would need the truck extra days & tried calling back several more times, no answer. I left the phone on speaker, on hold as I drove for 40 minutes before giving up. At that point I gave up on Los Banos & called my end point, on Spruce St in Riverside. They answered & resolved my issue regarding keeping the truck longer. They were very courteous & helpful, a sharp contrast to the apparent intentional refusal to answer my call by Los Banos. At this point, 3 days later, Los Banos has never called back or resolved the issue & ive given up. They were the worst business I’ve ever dealt with. If not for the professional behavior from Uhaul in Riverside, I would’ve forever written off UHAUL. The employees at UHAul Los Banos, particularly the ladies answering the phone are completely useless.



Have a garbage can around/or inside the front office, there was no place to throw away small items like cans/bottles, food wrappers, etc

The young man at this site was definitely focussed on following the steps in putting the Uhaul truck and trailer back into inventory. The business was also easy to miss. Also, filling the gas tank initially would be easier to assure it is filled at the end. The 3/4 tank was hard to determine and my husband came out short $14 and had to pay upon the truck’s return. Moving is stressful enough and having that shortage was a bit frustrating especially at the end of a hard day. It was just one more thing.

Explain every tier of insurance available for rentals. 2nd time I have rented and had engine trouble with truck. Paid for a towvout of pocket-$200 for 6 miles rather than wait for a repairman to come then wait for repair



I had a terrible situation. When I reserved the uhaul I had agreed upon time to return. When we arrived to pick gluons the truck they had the truck rented 3 hours earlier than our return. Our movers only had 2 hours to help before we had to return the rental. After calling UHaul”s 800 number I received no apology, remedy nor restitution. Basically just an SOL with attitude from the person in the phone. I am disgruntled and disgusted.

Everyone involved (phone rep and onsite person was very nice and helpful). The only thing I can recommend is that it would be nice to have more locations open on weekends and atleast one that stays open later in the day so when needed it increases the chance to pick a rental up in town. Born after hours drop-off location for a vehicle this size wasn't necessarily difficult but there was really no place to park it except right in the driveway. Overall I guess it wasn't too bad since there was just barely enough room to put it in there. Had I known that's all there was I would have chose one of the other locations in Los Banos to drop it off. But that's okay I suppose I would have done it again it was convenient being as close as it was to my location in Los Banos.

The note that I want to leave is a warning because yesterday we rented a truck and auto transport in order to tow a vehicle to San Jose. The employee there set everything up for us and we were on our way. When we arrived at the San Jose Uhaul, we were told the auto transport was not properly secured to the truck lacking a security chain. The road from Los Banos to San Jose is a 1.5 hour drive with a lot of twists and turns and is potentially very dangerous. I understand that the employee that helped us was very polite and professional. But this was a negligence that could have caused a serious accident, caused because there is only one person to attend many customers there, which puts in jeopardy the security of the equipment.

I got a very curt, accusatory telephone call from one of your Associates saying I was late with the dropoff ... they even asked where the truck was! ... This came out of the blue... I got very mixed messages from you folks... my customer experience overall was very negative, not only because of the cost , but also because of the confusion ... I am sorry for losing my cool with Damian at the Mini Storage in Los Banos, he's only doing his job, following what the written contract indicates, but overall I am not happy... because it was not cost effective for me to rent a truck from you. I also had to deal with confusing and negative vibes that soured me on your company.
