Every aspect of our pickup experience was miserable. First, the convenient site for enclosed trailer pickup was changed to a shady CBD/vape shop 12 miles away (Chamberlain Ln., Louisville). When we got there (at our designated time), there was no trailer and the individual at the shop claimed there was no reservation. A call from the U-Haul office apologized and confirmed that the guy at the shop rented our reserved trailer to someone else. We were then sent 30 miles further (Shelbyville, KY) to pickup another trailer at another shady CBD/vape/sex boutique shop. This one had a trailer with a long hydraulic tongue incompatible with our car. The shop employees there at least tried to help us but we were forced to cancel the trailer and rent a U-Haul van (at almost twice the cost) 20 miles away at yet another CBD/vape shop (Terry Rd., Pleasure Ridge Park, KY). The pickup at Terry Rd. was thankfully quick and easy. U-Haul should have offered to make up for their mistakes by covering the difference between the trailer and van rates, as well as compensate for the unexpected cost of gas (2 tanks) for the 600 mile trip. No such offer was made, which left us very unsatisfied and angry with U-Haul. We had OK experiences in the past (including installing a U-Haul trailer hitch to our car years ago), but we will never put ourselves through this again.

No complimentary mileage, no one way trips,truck ran poorly and was so loud you couldn’t hear the person riding with you,possibly the catalytic converter missing.also made a reservation at another location first and sat there 30 minutes because the only person that does the rentals wasn’t working at the time of my rental so I had to cancel so i had to go elsewhere and the people helping me move had to wait an hour at my house without me because I was behind in schedule.
