Apparently, the initial fuel reading was wrong and I did not pick up on it until I had driven a couple of miles, when I noticed the fuel gauge was nearly on empty and the estimate was 76 miles to empty. It was reading about 40 miles to empty when I finished my job. I put 4 gallons in the tank before turning the truck in, assuming that 4 gallons would more than cover the approximately 30 miles I drove. Imagine my surprise when the receipt showed $100 more than I expected. I was charged for 14 gallons that I could not have used driving less than 30 miles. I would like a refund of the $30 fuel service fee and $74.25 fuel charge.

Very friendly and helpful
LAURA PPickup location was OK. But, the corporate goon (Robert) that called to tell me I would have to travel 40 miles to pick up my truck...not good. This was the afternoon before I was scheduled to pick up the truck at 10am at a previously selected location near my home that was within walking distance. So, I had to get an Uber for the trip for another 80.00 to take me to the truck. Jerk would not even entertain the prospect of transferring the truck to my location, helping me with the Uber charges, etc. I ask for the manager, he said she was tied up, I ask to have her call me, he said OK with the hour she would. Never happened. This is bad business tactics. I will remember and pass along.

JENNIFER WWhen I picked up the truck, everything was fine and they were very friendly but then when I returned the truck, everything changed I was charged all these excess charges that I shouldn’t have been charged for and they would not discuss them with me then when I called the 800 number I was told something totally different than what I was told by the store. I will never deal with U-Haul again. This is the second time I have rented a truck from them.
