I rent from Uhaul a LOT. I have had several poor experiences with Uhaul in the past year. Most of those bad experiences center around your local "traffic control" group. They are the rudest women I have ever come across when doing business with a company. To the point that I have had to get the regional manager involved in the past and even had to request to file a complaint with the gentleman in the position above him (never got a call back as requested from that person, shocker). But the most recent interaction I had with Safe Mini Storage Uhaul at 7606 Madison Blvd, store #2 has by far been the absolute worst yet! We rented a 26ft truck to complete an actual move on 11/18. It was returned the same day, I believe around 9pm that night. We had no issues with the rental, paid in full at the time we took it out, returned it completely cleaned out and on time. We didn't think another thing about it until yesterday, 12/5 when I received a call from Uhauls insurance company saying that we had had an accident and hit a sign in the truck that we had FROM 11/18-11/30. As I explained to the guy if he'd look at the amount we paid it would be obvious to him and anyone else that we'd had it rented for 1 day. He said they had it on the contract that we had it for 2 weeks. He also said they'd filed a claim stating that we had hit a sign and done extensive damage to the vehicle! We didn't hit a thing and furthermore we're never contacted by the store to insinuate any such thing! We also were not contacted by the store to say that they were going to charge us another $45! Supposedly for a "cleaning fee" and to put gas in the truck ALMOST A MONTH LATER! This is absolutely ridiculous. To be billed almost $50 with no warning almost a month later when you have no clue what's it's for is horrible business. At this point I'll be filing a claim against Uhaul with the BBB. I've done many of these "surveys" and asked to be contacted by someone at Uhaul that actually has some authority to do something many times and have never heard a word. It's obvious you could care less about your customers and all you see is dollar signs. I've said it before but this interaction has ensured that we will NEVER do business with Uhaul again. I have no faith that I'll get a response to this but I AM AGAIN REQUESTING TO HAVE A SUPERVISOR FROM UHAUL CONTACT ME TO DISCUSS FURTHER.

Truck was fine, customer service at this location was horrible. Called to make reservation and was told I couldnt have it for the time limit that I needed, and would only give it to me for half a day instead of the whole day that I was paying for due to "being at the end of the month they can rent it too more people"

Honestly, everything went very smoothe upon pick-up and return. Past experiences with U-Haul have all been trouble free. U-Haul has always been my first call go-to.

The contract stated that the vehicle I rented was full and, therefore, should be returned full. However, I discovered that it was not full after leaving the lot. Consequently, I was required to fill the tank with more than should have been necessary. This resulted in a higher cost to me. The customer service person told me that there was nothing that could be done because I didn't bring it to her attention prior to leaving the lot. I suppose that is on me but I would expect when the contract indicated the tank was full, it was actually full. Since there were no efforts made to rectify this, I will be reluctant to use the service again, based on customer service provided and will ensure that if I recommend it to a friend, I will ensure they know what I experienced.

first day I rented i was told as long as i had it bqck before i went to work at 1:30pm next d ay all was good. i rented 1230ish to be told they had tried calling me due to a reservation at 10 am. they told me they would have to charge me for a 2nd day. i was not happy so kept it sin e they charging me for it. then when I returned it i supplied a debit card to be used ending in 2293 at which time the woman salad it was 60.00 even. i asked if the original debit card transaction which was pending would be released and was advised it would be cancelled. that one went thru as well as the 2 d card for 42.oo and change. what a hot mess.
