Have proper keys ready. Be prepared. Use a laptop instead of a cell phone, better protection of customers information. Follow up, even of you're not working at the Raceway that day. I received texts and calls from Uhaul, about returning the truck, because you were off work and didn't check the truck in.
Patricia MI was up against a tight deadline to move out of my house and when I got to U-Haul, the POS system was down. I had cash, credit cards, reservation, drivers license, everything but it took several phone calls and almost an hour to get the trailer. It was extremely stressful. The agents that helped me were VERY nice and professional, my feedback is more for U-Haul itself. You should provide some means of dispatching equipment to your franchises in the event your systems are down. Everyone is putting everything online and in the cloud and when things don't work, the entire world comes to a stand still.
