The unit we RESERVED was not available! Why do we reserve 2 weeks in advance if the trucks are not available. Very dissatisfied. This was the case in the last 2 rentals.

Originally wanted the vehicle in Pikeville, no notice was given that it was in the Martin location 30 minutes away. Vehicle smelled like cigarette smoke.

The location was not where the advertised address indicated it would be, and we had a hard time finding it with the navigator.

My comments are not about the location but about the whole process of online reservations. I had requested a truck at a different location. When the confirmation was sent to me on Sunday, I had been booked for a much larger truck, which I could NOT use--26foot!, I had to wait till Monday morning to contact someone by phone to see is there was a smaller vehicle. I had tried to contact the original location Sunday, but all I got was a fax signal! When I contacted the location, I was told that I would have to use the 800 number to try and find another vehicle. After sometime, they were able to find a smaller vehicle for me at the Martin Location. Time was crucial since, I was driving four hours to move my mother and needed the vehicle Monday afternoon. I tried to phone the Martin location, but I was never able to get them by phone--I think you have have an incorrect phone number-- I had wanted to confirm this by phone before driving another hour to Martin. I did not want to get there and find there was no truck!!! I had to drive the hour to Martin hoping that it was there. Fortunately, when I got there, I was able to get a truck. The truck was really new and so it worked out very well in the long run, BUT the whole reservation process was not a good one. I did like the young man who helped me Monday morning to try and find a suitable truck. The text messages with data were also helpful. Once I got to Martin, I did like working with the man.



He was not even there..we waited nearly an hour ..I had friends on the stand by to help us load furniture hey were patient enough to wait...however.this made us all late for other Saturday afternoon plans....we waited and waited on this gentleman ..he didn't even answer I would not recommend this location at all....

The website wasnt clear. I didnt even know there was such a thing as one way or not one way.. I'm confident that I chose one way however. Nevertheless, I went online to Rent a Uhal in Bowling green - Kentucky as a one way rental. I intended on picking it up and driving it to martin ky for drop off. I did all this online 4 days ahead of time. MOREOVER, Then I even called the pick up site In Bowling Green " 3 " times while in route to make sure everything was ok to do this, That way I could get the Uhal and leave I had a strict deadline ! When I got there the one in bowling that is. "Not the voyage tech place". But the one is Bowling green was """" VERY VERY RUDE TO ME""". The gentleman running the store if you want to call him that acted as if I was completely stupid! He said I should of know it was not a one way and that I had to bring the truck back to his store! He went on to say they dont even do one way rentals at his store!! Consequently, he began treat me as if I was a child and completely belittled me; despite me keeping calm regardless of his incompetence. He does not need to be in that line of work PERIOD!.... Luckily I was able to get a uhal facility to rent me a truck. However it was an additional 60 miles off my course! Due to the website not being understandable, and the manger of bowling green store. I believe the website is intentionally set up that way so that people will make the same mistake and have to drive further for rentals ultimately costing them more in mileage. Overall the Beaver Dam facility was ok and I suppose I would recommend it. Despite having to drive almost an hour extra to get to it. HOWEVER I WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER RECOMMEND AND WILL ACTUALLY BLOG ABOUT HOW INCOMPETENT AND RUDE THE BOWLING GREEN FACILITY WAS! IN FACT IT WOULDNT HAVE BEEN SO BAD. I UNDERSTAND I MADE THE MISTAKE BY NOT FULLY UNDERSTANDING THE WEBSITE. I TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT BEING MESSED UP AND HAVING TO DRIVE FURTHER IT WAS MY FAULT, BUT ""(((( I WOULDN'T CARE AND IT WOULDNT BE SO BAD IF I WASNT DEBILITTLED AND ALL BE TOLD I WAS A STUPID CHILD WITHIN THE BOWLING GREEN FACILITY THE ONE BESIDE STAPLES AND BEST BUY! ))) THEY RUIN MY EXPERIENCE WITH UHAL... let me make it clear I know i messed up but the people at the 1st store in bowling green didnt have to rub it in my face and talk down to me. They need to be fired.. that is my comment thanks and I will recommend beaver dam not the bowling green one. Thank you!

We had to pick up our U-Haul at a different site location than what were sent on our confirmation email. We had to drive 30 miles from Pikeville, KY to Martin, KY. This put us behind an hour piking up the truck. In addition the truck was not clean (cigarette ashes were left in tray) and a tire, which we noticed to be bowed, blew out putting us 2 hours behind schedule. We

Not have the customer have to drive 15 miles to pick up a truck AND have all the reserved equipment (Dollies) at that location instead of having the customer drive to ANOTHER location to pick one up. Communication between locations was poor as the 2nd location had no idea that I was coming in for a Utility/Furniture Dollie. Also, I did inform the first location that I would not be able to return the truck until closing time of the Drop off location because of the simple fact that I would not be able to have access to my new house until 10am on Jun 2nd and the movers were scheduled to come at 1pm to unload the truck. Did not appreciate a call at 8:32am with a somewhat irritated person on the line telling me that I was supposed to have the truck back to him by 8am and that he had it reserved for someone else that morning. Was very upsetting and stressful to me and my daughter, of which we were the only ones that could have tried to unload a 26 foot fully packed truck on our own until the moving help arrived.

This is the only place in Floyd County that rents U-Hauls.



I was able to pick the truck earlier than arranged, which was helpful.



Computer had problems. It took 45 minutes to enter the info into the computer. Not faulting him maybe it's your program. Hard time returning also at a different location because of on-line information. Process entirely too slow, cost me an hour of travel time for a 5 hour trip.

That all fees are disclosed to customers who are booking via the internet BEFORE they arrive at the checkout location. Kind of crappy not to disclose them at the time the credit card information is obtained.

The dolly we received was broken - it had a plastic-type wheel that was cracked and as soon as we put a box the dolly, the wheel flared out and away from the hub. We didn't notice it when we picked it up and guess Jacobs didn't either. We did report it to the Frankfort Uhaul so someone else wouldn't get this dolly and not be able to use it, either.
