Pls make sure equipment is clean and supplies reserved online are available. If not let customers know before they show up. They are already dealing with the stress of moving and do not need service inconsistencies from Uhaul.

I walked in to make reservation several days in advance. You should allow doing all the basic paperwork with drivers license, credit card, etc at time of reservation; because then picking up vehicle on Satruday morning its crazy busy and have to wit in line again.

My rating for the equipment is only bc there was a crack in the windshield. The van drove well and I had no problems otherwise. The gentleman who got the rental papers together for me was great, however, I gave the poor rating for the establishment overall bc some lady called me after 10pm to basically yell at me for not parking in one of their parking spots (of which they only had a few). I parked the van opposite the parking spots bc all of the spots were taken. I did not see anywhere else where I could park it unless I blocked someone's personal storage space. The van was on the other side of the driveway without blocking anything and I put the key in the key drop bc it was after hours. This woman left a nasty message and when I called her back she complained about stupid people who couldn't park and how she had to deal with police. Not sure why the police were involved unless there was some ordinance that governed their personal property. The moral of the story is that since this has clearly happened before, they should advise renters where to park if all the parking spaces are full and the office is closed. This way customers can avoid nasty phone calls--who calls customers and yells at them anyway? I still don't know who the woman was. She never identified herself or her position.

The parking is impossible. The woman in the front office was extremely rude, opened late, treated me as if I were an inconvenience. When I returned the truck there was no where to park it as the one spot available had vehicles on either side that had parked over the line. When I told her I was not comfortable trying to get the truck into that spot she rolled her eyes at me and refused to provide a receipt until the truck could be parked. I informed her I was happy to attempt if an actual full spot were available... overall very stressful experience. I will surely not use this location in the future nor would I recommend it to others. This is my second negative experience with your brand in recent time, seems to be a lot of inconsistency across your franchised locations.

The manager lady was very rude, slow, and incompetent. I had a 10:30am reservation but she only talked to us around 11:15am. She was also very mean when we returned the car. I’d not recommend this location due to manager lady running the shop

Location terrible. Parking on a hill and very tight off main road with lots of traffic. Parking spaces too small for Uhaul vehicles. Unless there is a 30-minutr wait, self-registration on phone is much slower and involved than using the office, which you have to go to to get the key anyways.

Customer service is the worst! Guy was so racist and didn’t respond to anything I was asking. He was just not happy with seeing me there. I apologized for being late than the scheduled pick up time but he gave me attitude and didn’t even talk. Clearly he didn’t seem to be happy with his job. I waited 30 Mins outside the office as he was out but he came pissed and treated me as if I was asking business from him. Never knew well known brand like uhaul has such kind of staff.

I was not happy with my experience. I was given 1 price when I held the reservation online, only to get there and be hit with a $90 hold on my credit card when I was only going 9 miles 1 one and returning within 2 hours. Also when I was given the truck, it was not full and it was pointed out on the contract. After I was done, I filled it pass where it was given to me. That evening when I returned the truck, it was after hours and I got ready to put the keys in the box and the entire box collapsed not only exposing my keys, but another customer's keys too who had dropped off his car before me. I was gracious enough to try to fix it, but with no success. I then noticed that a light was on by the office and I saw someone there, I then knocked on the window to let them see that I had 2 sets of keys. The lady opened the door and I gave her the keys. Had I left them in the open box, someone could've stolen both trucks. The next morning, I look at my credit card and I see not only did they not credit back the money to my account, they charged me another $22 for fuel!! I not only filled it back, I filled it with more than I had used. This rental for 2-3 hours cost me over $97 dollars. I don;t like it when things change up once they have your credit card. my contract number is 21524395. Janee Ziyad

While good in theory, your completely automated pick up is terrible in practice. Not only were the keys not left in the truck I reserved, but the office was closed even though the hours posted in the window claimed it would be open. U-Haul cost me an extra hour with my movers while I attempted to get a truck.

(2) YOU MUST SERVICE YOUR TRUCKS BETTER & ASK THE OWNER OF McLEAN SELF-STORAGE AT 1556 SPRINGHILL ROAD, McLEAN, VA TO MAINTAIN THE BUSINESS IN BETTER CONDITION BECAUSE IT IS EXTREMELY RUN-DOWN & FALLING APART; (3) YOU MUST ALSO MAKE SURE THE RENTAL PLACE IS BETTER KEPT BECAUSE IT IS NOT WORTH GOING FOR THE TRUCK & STORAGE UNIT WHEN THEY ARE EXTREMELY RUNDOWN.

There were ropes that we didn't have a problem with but in martinsburg they told us that they should have been removed. Same for the truck that wasn't swept.

The location is cramped. I was confused because when I made my reservation I enrolled in "easy pick up", which I thought meant when I arrive I could just obtain keys and go. I did no realize that I had to wait in line behind two other renters and the Associate had to re-verify my credit card and drivers license, which I provided online. From the time I arrive to leaving was approximately 30 minutes.

The Rep has a space that smells terribly of smoke. She is rude and called me 4 times demanding that I return a key to the van that she saw me drop off. She also didnt like that I parked the van IN THE ONLY SPACE that was available to park the van. She then charged me $16 for gas that I already filled up. Overall, I will never ever ever go to this location again
