I had a generally good experience, and the equipment worked well. Customer service was good. On the negative side, their driving areas are very congested, and there is no place to leave your car for the day.

The store is in a tight location. However, it is convenient and we receive good and friendly service from Ms. Emmy Chase when we go there. She is helpful despite having broken foot and we plan to go there again (if she is not retired). Keep up the good service.

While i don't expect a high level of customer service and friendliness from a UHAUL/Storage location, the agent was less than excited to be assisting this day. He was not rude, just lacked any sort of engagement.

The Truck was fine, but the office smells like an ashtray, and the lady behind the desk is always so rude and angry, this is the second time I have used this location, and will probably be my last time. She yelled at my friend because he asked why the bill was higher than what we expected, simple misunderstanding on his part not considering we rented a dolly. But she yelled and called him nasty all because he thought it was supposed to be cheaper.

The lady at the front desk was the rudest person I ever met. The office stinks like shit, may be she smokes inside. The shop was supposed to close at 6.30 and I made a reservation for 6.00 pm. I got a call from that lady at 5.30 saying she wont rent if I am not 15 mins prior to 6.00 pm. I declined the rental insurance and she made a big fuss saying who will pay for my truck, call your insurance etc. i just took the insurance to avoid the discussion. I returned the truck in the night and parking spots were all full, I had to park in customer slot. She did not settle the acount until the next day evening. I will never go back to that location u til she is fired

The woman who greeted me was in a very horrible and antagonistic mood. She complained that, despite the contractual arrangements for dropping the truck at this location, I was not to deliver to this location and that I was required to find another place. I was dumbstruck by her outlandish and provocative behavior. I tried to impart some common sense and humor into the situation. She was having none of that and continued her anusivd behavior. The office was messy and cluttered. Worse, it stunk of cigarette smoke and musty air. The environment made her ugly behavior all the worse for my experience. I rent equipment from your company relatively often. I’ve never experienced such rude behavior in the past. I hope it improves soon.

The Truck Gas mileage was very poor , 15' truck gave just around 8 miles/gallon. Had to spend 200$(73 gallons) for travelling just 540 miles. This without using any A/C,Heater not even the audio system.

Truck bed was wet. Equipment was supposed to be in Fairfax; but when I got to Fairfax for pick up I was told to go to McLean and that my equipment was there. In the meantime, I was paying 4 movers $120/hr to sit on their asses while I spent 30 minutes driving to McLean and back. Very unsatisfactory way to run a business.

We killed 2 large roaches in the back of the van that we rented!! We only needed it for two hours and 10 Miles! We didn’t see the roaches in the back of the van until we opened the back to load our table into the truck! I had to pitch 2 good furniture blankets for fear that roaches would find their way into the blankets & into my home! We had to thoroughly wipe down the table after unloading it in the rain! The attendant at the location did not seem surprised nor did she seem to care that roaches were in the vehicle!! Very disgusting & disappointing!

The rental itself was fine--no problems picking up the truck. However, UHaul apparently kept my credit card information, and began initiating unexplained charges on my card months after I had returned the truck and confirmed that there were no oustanding charges. The charges on my card originated from the UHaul location in McClean, VA, so I called them to get them to remove the charges. They refused to help and refused to acknowledge that the charges had come from their location. They instead redirected me to a number at which I was unable to reach a customer service representative. Terrible service. I will not rent from UHaul again, and suggest that all customers who have rented from this location recently watch their credit card statements carefully in order to ensure that they're not adding charges months later with no explanation.

The night before I was to pick up the rental I got a text at 6:30pm asking me to call to confirm my rental. I called when I saw the text at 8:53pm and the woman who answered the phone yelled at me for calling so late and then hung up on me. It was very rude!

When we went to pick up the truck, we were rushed through the process and Tim didn’t allow me to read through the contracts I was signing. We rented the truck with one dolly, and went on our way. The truck was in horrible shape, and when Tim was turning the truck around he slammed the mirrors into the walls multiple times. We returned the car with ~37 miles on it, and with the dolly still in the truck. The following business day I received a bill for $221. When I called to dispute it, Emmy was there. She was immediately hostile. She told me I signed the contract saying I had reserved a utility dolly and 6 blankets that were never returned. I explained that wasn’t true and she started yelling at me and told me to learn how to read, and that this was my fault. I asked her to please reach out to Tim and then I’d call back. I called back later that day and she said she spoke with him and that it would be corrected. I now have SIX pending charges, one of them has incorrectly posted, and one of them has not been reversed. I am apprehensive to call Emmy back again because the last time I did she screamed at me and hung up the phone. I am incredibly frustrated and working with my bank to get the money back to avoid having to speak with her again. I wish there was a way to ensure no one ever used their trucks again.

It was not clear when I arrived that I could do everything via the app. I would recommend more clear instructions on the outside that if you have reserved online and have the app you can go ahead and proceed with the rental - even if there is no one there at the desk and the office is closed. This was not clear. I would have to give a friend very detailed instructions if I recommended this location.

The customer service rep was rude and mean. She made me wait 30 mins before she came from the back to help me. Then she didn’t seem to know what she was doing. She didn’t smile once and told me I was very rude. She represents the Ihaul brand terribly. The place was dirty. I will never go back.

Parking for pickup is difficult. Getting the vehicles out was a challenge in the tight space. Vehicle was ready. It did have some trash behind the seats but overall was clean. It ran well. There was no one there during stated business hours to drop the vehicle off to. A receipt was never provided.
