For your app, allow customer to record miles and fuel before pickup as well. This way customer is not charged extra if the prior records are wrong. For this location, the owner can use additional training. We ordered extra equipment and pads and nothing was available. Without furniture pads, our refrigerator got scratched badly and tv was ruined during the move. Dinning room table was damaged too. The truck was not ready but was in good shape. The dolly in the truck and the bag for pads did not have zip ties which indicated that prior customer used them and I had no way of proving that we did not open/ use them. Luckily, the owner believed us and took the charges off. Also, it took us multiple calls to customer service and 20 extra minutes to open a lockbox to retrieve the key. The locks are very finicky. Overall pickup process with the app took 40 minutes which was way too long.

The way that the charges are explained on the bill is difficult to understand. I am also receiving a text nearly two weeks after the retnal indicating that I need to pay additional Uhaul charges. I am not sure if this is a scam or valid.

SUSHIL AThe truck itself had horrible gas mileage. Fuel economy gauge always was bottomed out no matter how I would drive.
ABDULKARIM EFirst, the truck had 1/4 tank of gas, so we had to get gas before we could even get started. Then, we received only 6 moving blankets when we requested 12. The app kept locking up during check in when trying to take and submit pictures of the vehicle. When I went into the store for help, the guy there ignored me and went outside. I followed him out and asked if he worked there and if he could help me to check it in because the app was locking up. He told me it was already checked in. I assumed I would get a receipt at the end of the check in process, but I never reached the end, so I asked him for a receipt. I also told him that we requested a dozen moving blankets, but only 6 were provided. It took him about 15 minutes of no communication and multiple phone calls to try to figure out how to get a receipt. Then he finally told me someone would email me a receipt. When I received the receipt, I had been charged for 12 AND 6 blankets. So, after all that, I needed to then contact U-Haul directly to get credited for the extra charge. Not a fun experience.
