The vehicle exterior, including windows and mirrors were filthy. The “change oil” message was lit and the vehicle cab wreaked of cigarette smoke, so much so, it permiated my clothing.

I always have bad experience I rent at uhaul I called n the morning at 10am the guy Leon didn't wanna take my reservation on the phone he said they has plenty of trucks and then when I got their at 2pm I had to wait over a hour to get my truck evertime I rent something from u guys third is Always a problem

The attendant never went over the vehicail for prior damages or mileage or gas. Was told there was a full tanks and after leaving realized it only had 1/4 tank of gas in it . The alarm bell kept ringing that the truck needed n oil change soon

Pay back customer gas excess when returning the Van or truck, and it is more than what you gave them at the beginning. Policies are not for one side only, but for both sides. Doing so, you will make not only happy clients, but friends for life!

1) The location did not have a furniture dolly. 2) The location did not have all of the furniture pads I asked for on my reservation. 3) Chris did not inspect the truck with me prior to the rental, but commented on the hand truck not being there when I returned it. The hand truck was not in the truck when I took it. 4) The level of the gas gauge was lower then on the contract paper. Again, no one inspected the truck with me before hand so we couldn't verify the gas level together. So, I put in almost 5 gallons of gas and went 27 miles. My biggest complaint is the lack of furniture pads. They only had 18, not 24; so I needed to use bedding to make up for the lack of pads. My reservation was made in September; so it would have been nice if they could have told me ahead of time they didn't have them.

I will never use this company again! They over charged me for their mistake. Made customers park on a busy Main Street. I booked a UHaul to be picked up in Wallingford and made me drive to Meriden location for pickup. All staff members were rude and the manager never returned my phone call back! I will never give them business again

Put actual locks on the back of the trucks!! I used the Uhaul to purchase and move a couch and a table. When we got down the block from my destination the back of the truck was up and the table ( which was in a big square box) was gone. There is no possible way that it could of just lifted from the wind!! I feel 100% that we were at a light and someone must of lifted it and pulled out the box. I'm very disappointed that these trucks don't come with locks!

Staff at this location wre very helpful, polite and professional, unfortunately this is the location where I made the reservation and was not informed of the correct pricing. It caused wasted time and and inconvenience. I would rent from this location for local moves only.

I put one star because of the overall experience. The center was great, THEY deserve 5 stars. Who deserves zero stars is the scheduling department. I reserved a guaranteed 20 foot trUck at a location 3 miles from my house. Sometimes the location changes and that's okay but I ALWAYS GET AN EMAIL telling me this, I also select EMAIL as my PREFERRED contact method. Well yesterday morning I check my email and I have nothing new from uhaul so I go to the original location. They don't have my truck and tell me it's been moved to a location 13 miles away, still no biggie, figured I'd call the main customer care number and get a credit for the 25 miles I have to travel out of my way. Magically I get a supervisor on the line and she proceeded to argue with me that someone called and left a voicemail, which I didn't get and she couldn't verify the number that was called. She was rude and no help, so I said whatever, I'm on my way to other location and I'll call back later about a possible credit. I get to the new location and she tells me I have a reservation but for 3PM THAT AFTERNOON! MY ORIGINAL RESERVATION IS FOR 8AM!!! the girl there was nice and said they had a 15 foot TRUCK I could use but HAD TO RETURN BY 1PM BECAUSE IT WAS RESERVED. So not only did my reservation get changed with NO notices, I was offered nothing but an attitude from the main customer care number and got a smaller truck for 3 out of the 8 hours I PAID FOR....HORRIBLE, BEEN A UHAUL CUSTOMER FOR 15 YEARS AND WILL NEVER USE AGAIN, UNLESS THEY FIX THIS MESS!!!!
