Here’s a polished, passionate version of your complaint that keeps your I wanted to file a formal complaint, but even that turned into a frustrating ordeal. First, the hand truck we paid for never arrived—I didn’t even notice until all of our belongings were sitting on the lawn. I ended up speaking with four different people trying to get a hand truck delivered, wasting over an hour. Then, when we returned, we discovered there was no ramp either. At that point, I was absolutely furious. I called U-Haul again, only to be met with excuses, no accountability, and zero acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused. The representative even told me that I could only file a complaint after returning the truck. This level of service is unacceptable. I will never rent from U-Haul again.

Review for U-Haul Truck Rental (rental Location and Uhaul customer service ) Unfortunately, this was by far one of the worst rental experiences I have ever had. I had seen a few negative reviews online before booking, but I honestly did not expect the situation to be this bad. Upon arriving at the location, there was absolutely no signage or instructions indicating where to find the truck or the key. I attempted to call the location’s phone number multiple times throughout the day, but no one ever answered. The only assistance available was through U-Haul’s 800 number. After searching for quite some time, I eventually found the truck parked in a back alley behind the building. I looked everywhere for a lockbox or instructions and found nothing. By pure luck, I pulled on a back gate that happened to be open, and inside I found a key. I immediately called U-Haul to inform them of what I had found and to ask how to proceed. Instead of being helpful or understanding, the customer service representative was extremely rude and disrespectful. She questioned why I would open a vehicle and take a key, even though there were no instructions provided whatsoever. Her tone was completely inappropriate for customer service. If U-Haul has records of this call, I strongly believe this representative needs retraining or reassignment, as she should not be dealing directly with customers. To make matters worse, the mobile app did not work properly, forcing me to spend another 5–10 minutes struggling just to complete the check-in process online. When I finally accessed the truck, it was in poor condition. The vehicle was dirty, the tire warning light was on, and one of the headlights was not working. While the truck technically served its purpose of transporting a single item from one location to another, the overall experience was unacceptable. This was my first time dealing with an issue like this at U-Haul, and I sincerely hope it will be my last. I will never rent from this specific location again. I hope U-Haul can take this honest feedback seriously and make meaningful improvements. Alfonso A.
