I have never really had a bad experience with renting U-Haul in the past but this occasion has been absolutely terrible. Both uhaul and the location vendor hold responsibility. I rented the truck for 2 days and ended up needing it for a 3rd. Uhaul held $148 in one transaction and then another $254 in a separate transaction. Over $400 I was unable to access while I WAS TRYING TO MOVE!! I needed that money. I was to pick up my personal auto from the shop on that day, Sep. 17 2025, checked my bank balance and didn't have enough to pay for it and still be able to function. I don't have panic attacks. I was on the verge of one and I can tell you it's not a nice feeling. Thanks uhaul. My 2nd complaint is with the vendor who promptly charged me $42.74 two days after I had returned the truck and the only business between us has been with uhaul. No other business was done between us but they tried to rob me. I made a report with uhaul on the 17th so that they are aware of vendor fraud. Navy Federal cancelled my card and I had to travel 20 miles to a location to pick up a new one. Time and money I didn't have to give. It's safe to say I'm a bit on the fence with this last rental. Hopefully things will improve and no one else gets ripped off by Midway Auto Care or stuck $400 poorer while moving and finances can be critical. Terry Geiger

JESSICA GThe trailer was not ready when I came to pick it up for my reservation. I had an 8am reservation for Monday, August 11th and the Uhaul system wouldn't allow the location to release the trailer to me because of a tag issue. I called the Friday before (Friday 8/8) and confirmed the reservation would be there and they gave me the thumbs up. Sometime between that call and when I showed up the system flagged the trailer, which was a huge inconvenience. I understand tags need to be updated, but that should have been done before I showed up to pick up the trailer based on my reservation. I had to drive back home until another trailer could be brought to the location. Due to the system error of Uhaul, I had to drive an extra hour and take more time out of my day. It is a general expectation that a trailer will be ready for me when I made the reservation. It's completely unacceptable for the tag to be an issue the morning of pickup. This is the second issue with Uhaul in the last 2 months and I've been very disappointed with my experience.
BENJAMIN EHave to workers retrieve the equipment. I had to go by myself, and locate both item, which were parked facing a state highway, back the truck up to the trailer (half in the road), and hookup by myself.
